Good stuff Wozzy. I think someone like KB could become a numbers casualty and rather the team would trade him to a team at his liking as he his a fan favorite and team leader. Seing pop Douglas recently he appears to have added some muscle and bulk.. Josh likely told him get ready to see 80 to 100 targets this season.
Let some injuries occur in preseason or for other teams to get a real look at their roster. You could get a late round pick for Bourne, Boutte or possibly Polk if some other GM loved him before last year’s draft.

I would prefer Boutte's talents' here thank you.

I have no loyalty anyone on this roster who doesn't have a ring. So, basically no one. Whatever JMcD and Vrabel want to do is fine by me.

Boutte is a starter and will be here. Diggs, pop and Boutte while bringing along Williams will likely be the way to go.. un less something happens that we Don't anticipate.

I think that 4 WR's get almost all the reps.

We need a solid starting 4, plus prospects for the future.
=========
TOP FOUR
Diggs, Hollins, Williams, Douglas (slot)
If Williams isn't ready or Diggs in on PUP, we could keep Bourne.
=======
PROSPECTS FOR THE FUTURE (carry whoever shows promise)
Polk
Boutte
Baker
==========
I still think that the most likely scenario is trading Bourne and Boutte, hopefully deep into Training Camp, with Polk as the #5 and Baker as a possible #6.

IF Javon Baker could live up to what I think I saw before the 2024 Draft... Mac Hollins ain't making this Team. Pre-Draft 2024 Baker reminded me of a poor man's Brian Thomas Jr.
Wheelchair on quicksand not make much sense methinks.

We also have to keep In mind until Williams is brought up to speed IMO diggs, Boutte and pop will be the primary WRs as Henderson also will factor in on reciever packages... by the end of the season I expect Williams to be fully in the mix.

I expect him very early.

I hope the play book isn't a hindrance....

I don't know why folks think that Hollins is lower than Boutte on the depth chart.

Substitute "Hollins" for "Boutte" and I think that your statements will be more likely to happen.

With baker it is strictly maturity. He has the talent and work ethics it's some players take long to mature than others. Boutte went through his moments as well.
Hopefully Baker recognizes the need and matures BEFORE he gets cut, but not hopeful.

If he doesn’t mature he is 100% a cut this year.

Let's say they both have great camps wich I fully expect Boutte to continue to do.. as he's has a great relationship sns connection with Drake... so does Vrabel say let's cut our 22 yr old who's budding and makes plays? Or our 31 year old journeyman? I like them both. However I'd choose the younger option on a rookie deal still..

If Boutte has a great camp, then he'll make the 53, but not at the expense of Hollins. Boutte could be an easy #5 or #6 and be extended if he looks like he has a future,

LOCKS: Diggs, Hollins, Douglas, Williams
on the bubble or traded: Bourne, Boutte, Polk, Davis

Hollins isn't a lock. no one really is but diggs and Williams if im being honest. I don't see Hollins in the same light that you do. He's a great veteran leader and he's a big bodied WR at 6"4.. for him to best out Boutte he will have to really have a great camp and Boutte fall off. Hollins had 378 yards with Josh Allen last season.. Boutte had almost 600 in a terrible situation last season.. his trajectory is upwards trending.

I think the only true locks are the guys that MV has brought in: Diggs, Hollins, and Williams. The other 3 jobs are open, with 6 guys in pursuit: Bourne, Boutte, Douglas, Chism, Polk, & Baker.

tbh I like the looks of Chism as our 4th (slot), an Edelman clone who's 5'11 193 with a great 3 cone of 6.88. He ran a slow 4.7 40 but does that matter? He's incredible after the catch and looks like he might be better than Pop, who's only 5'8/175 with an ok 3-cone of 7.05 and a good 40 time of 4.44. Pop has shown very good quickness but has a tendency to disappear for long stretches. Tough decision there or maybe they keep both somehow.

If Bourne-Boutte-Pop-Polk-Baker are fighting for 2 spots, I think Baker's out, maybe Polk too but they'd try to stash the two of them on PS & IR. That would leave Bourne-Boutte-Pop fighting for 2 spots.

I disagree and think Hollins is in over Boutte and Bourne, even though I really like both those guys. For one thing he's a terrific ST guy, he did good things in Buffalo, and he's our only tall receiver.

I have seen references to Baker as a 1st round talent but undrafted work ethic and ability to understand scheme.
what do we have, 12 or 13 WR's on the roster at the moment? keep 6? 3 on the PS?

And you believe everything you read? After what we saw in year 1, you really think someone wants to poach Baker? Seriously? Were you one of the once calling for a first round pick for Joe Milton too?

IMO Hollins won't be at X or Z. I think McDaniels will put him in the slot or use him like a move TE. I think Boutte will have a place somewhere on the outside. Different positions and skill sets.
