He's the starting left guard.
- “Surprisingly powerful in the run game - where he uses his strong leg drive and powerful hands to drive defenders backward”. Part of the scouting report on C. Strange (yes, our C. Strange) who appears to be no longer needed as a center. Should he become a backup guard, could he also be a goal line fullback? Gotta find some way to prove Sean McVay wrong…
Hope you’re right - I was paying more attention to the patellar tear - been there/done that and ain’t no fun….He's the starting left guard.
'Strange as Center" cult, over.
'Sidy Sow is good actually" cult, over.
And none of you should pay attention to pff grades ever again. Let this be a lesson to you.
The cult never ends.
Yes, Sow is possible untested depth, along with Robinson, Wallace and Andrews. You're the cult. The negative cult.
What''s so outragious that a player entering his third year who played nearly 100% of the snaps his rookie year after game 4 (and actually had a good push as run blocker) can't be a serviceable backup guard?
The coaching was so horrible that Sow wasted his entire rookie season training camp being converted to tackle. Sow was injured most of last year. I never look at PFF ratings.
My post only said Sow should be added to Ring's list as possible depth. When healthy I've seen a pretty good run blocker.

Sow goes from starting 13 games his rookie year and doing ok to riding the pine under Mayo.Sow had a pretty good rookie year considering all the nonsense going on, and the unsettled line.
Better than I thought Robinson was last year.
Demontrey “Practice Squad” Jacobs does have a nice ring to it.I'll be satisfied once guys like Demontrey Jacobs are pushed off the roster etc.
I haven’t received adequate intel on The Sow, a bona fide nfl LG who has been misused as a RG when they moved Fatty OneMenu (credit to Captain Stone) to RT.Unexplainable-Sow
I do remember Sow dealing with an ankle last preseason.. he got hurt in the washin game right?? But yes.. I felt Sow was a dam good LG in the absence of strange.. I feel like he has a place on the OL as we all had to endure last season not having the depth on the OL will hurt a team. We need to beef up the depth.. these guys play alot of snaps.Demontrey “Practice Squad” Jacobs does have a nice ring to it.

As I understand it, The Sow had a nagging ankle injury at the beginning of the season but ended it AS A HEALTHY SCRATCH. Totally a red flag.
He can go off in many different directions thus year, from starting at LG to being traded or even cut.

My speculation, which is just that, speculation, is that OL coach Scott Peters’ torrent of words, overly detailed practice of ju jitsu strike points, led to Siddy Sow, normally a good guy with above average nfl measurements and athleticism, turning the phucker off.
He got hurt in the pre season.. agreed another mayo blunder of many last season...Sow goes from starting 13 games his rookie year and doing ok to riding the pine under Mayo.
Hes another one that gets a fresh start
Improved coaching is going to make a world of a difference… I hope.
Agreed. What Callahan was reporting was that all the players showed up for OTAs and most elected to remain in Massachusetts to work out and get deep into the play book. What this team is also doing is adding adequate depth as injury is part of the game we are strengthing the trenches. Trent Brown sadly is what any young OL should take heed of what not to be.I think much higher and clearer expectations, as well as serious improvements in competition for roster spots are going to make a big difference as well. Any players, other than Maye, Barmore, and Gonzalez ( and a few free agents) who don’t come into camp in shape and ready to compete are in danger of losing their jobs. And I think they all know this, and almost all will come in ready. I don’t think there will be any Trent Browns on this team.
"One menu" . Epic.I was pleasantly surprised that Mike Onwenu was a participant. That’s positive. My radar is out on him at the start of TC to see what shape he reports in, Goodyear blimp or professional athlete.
