The only hope for the Pats is that the Giants panic, take Dart and Carter falls, preventing Vrabel from completely blowing the draft by taking the 4th pick on a Guard.

Ward, Hunter, Carter, Campbell.

Doubt it. Sounds like Cle and NY, who both need QBs, would trade up for Ward if they could now.

Did something change? I would think that the Cowboys are desperate for a RB ...i.e. maybe they can work out a deal with the Patriots for Jeanty.

Not a RB worth the pick for them and doubtful they have any shot at Jeanty. Pats are not going that far down without a 2026 first which Dallas won't do. I would think if there was any movement on a Pats trade down we wouldn't be hearing from multiple sources that the top 4 picks are locked. Still a few hours though so things could change.

I hope and pray they would. But it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense for the Raiders. Presumably the reason Oakland wants to get up to #4 is to get Jeanty ahead of the Jags. But if they traded K. Miller to do, that they would then have a huge hole at LT and be pretty much forced into taking Will Campbell instead of Jeanty.

It is an interesting question. If we ended up with Joe Alt, but no QB, then we could looking at the first pick in the draft and Caleb Williams would be coming into a good situation. It would have been a very painful season. If by some miracle, the Patriots were able to win a few games, then we would be in range for Jaxson Dart (to heck with Sanders) who would be able to play behind a great LT.

Taking Drake with no LT was a huge injury risk, but the Patriots got away with it.

It seems like a wash to me, although it is harder to find a blue-chip QB this year but even harder to find a blue-chip LT.

After watching some youtube clips of past Patriot championship teams and watching Corey Dillon, Kevin Faulk even Steven Ridley with his fumbling problems eat up yards on the ground. I have to admit Jeanty is looking more tempting he may be a bell cow running back and team him with Rhamandre and we have a good one two punch on the ground. Have to get a second round LT or try to trade up for one. I could see Donovan Jackson as a second round Left Tackle.

Just a thought.

I do like the fact the Campbell wears braces on his legs. IMO should be team mandated to wear braces. Be preemptive.

I agree with that. There would be no reason, they visited him at the Combine, had a top 30 visit. Something made them go...and I don't know what that would be exactly.

My gut tells me the Giants are gonna take a QB, probably Dart since thats who they like and they cannot get back up high enough to ensure getting one. Giants ownership cannot just stand by and watch the top QBs fly off the draft board and sell the fans on a pass rusher, of which they have plenty.
