Three thoughts on Jeanty:
1. He's an interesting test of the validity of BPA. If you truly believe in BPA then shouldn't you be drafting Jeanty at 3? I've started to think that BPA is a flawed philosophy. BPA, based upon whose board? If it's your own teams board then you can construct that how you wish and on how you feel about positional value, character, injury risk etc. However, in that instance, BPA is meaningless to fans because there is no consensus big board.
2. It would be quite funny if the only reason we were looking so heavily at RBs in this draft was because we were trying to judge how they stack up against Jeanty and weren't interested in them at all. We were interested in Jeanty all along.
3. I don't think we'll draft Jeanty. One reason I'd like it though, other than his remarkable talent, is that it would signify a generational shift in offensive philosophy. This would become an offense centred around a bell-cow RB and a play-action passing scheme. That would be the Vrabel offense, one not too dissimilar to the Titans Vrabel offense. That would, at the very least, be interesting.
