It is hard to get a read on Jeanty. In the highlights I saw, he was running through holes that my pickup truck could get through. I did not see him run over anyone or around anyone; maybe he can, I just cannot tell. I don't get the hype.
You clearly didn’t watch the highlights.

I’m starting to sell myself on a RB being a QBs best friend.
He's absolutely a QB's best friend. It opens up the passing game. One thing to consider is that LaDanian Tomlinson went to a terrible Chargers team with a bad O-line. Since he was a true talent, he was able to manage and run for 1,236 yards. The Chargers did a good job building the O-line on the fly.

I don’t think Jeanty is LT though.

Jeanty ain't LaDanian Tomlinson.

My "Homerun" pick at No. 4 (if Carter and Hunter gone) is Tyler Warren. Warren is a guarantee player. Way higher than Campbell. Why take chances at No. 4 when you can have a Pro Bowl type TE. Let Maye and Warren develop into a force over the next 4 years. Tight End is also a QB's best friend! Run double TEs with Hunter Henry to take the pressure off the ends and enable quick release passes. The Pats need another Gronk type or Ben Coates type to move the chains. Plus Henry is 31 - when are you ever gonna get another chance at a "Homerun" player for the next Super Bowl run ? Is that Campbell ?

It's certainly a possibility.

He ain't Brock Bowers no thanks!!

After Hunter and Carter are gone, the bidding for Jeanty will begin. I suspect that we will offers to move to 6, 9 and 10.

LV may just try to wait until they pick at 6, expecting us to draft Campbell and JAX to take Graham.

The raiders would still consider trading up because someone else could.

This is a possibility. I don't think Jeanty gets passed Jacksonville at #5, so teams may call NE to leapfrog them. Jacksonville desperately needs a playmaker in the running game to help out Lawernce.

If they take Campbell at 4, they obviously don't view it as taking a chance. Duh. With that said, there is no such thing as a guaranteed player at any spot. Campbell does not have to be a homerun. He just has to keep Drake from getting killed like he did for Jayden Daniels and Garrett Nussmeier.

I am 99% certain that Campbell is the pick at 4. If he is I will root for him to succeed BUT
Jeanty would be a great bold pick at 4 with a good OL coming in at 38.
He would add instant excitement and versatility and help Maye and McDaniels more than Campbell.
Hoping for a bold non risk averse pick for once
Would take balls to pick Jeanty, Vrabel and Wolf do not have it in their DNA.
We have had 6 years of playing it safe and it has gotten us nowhere.

Cole Strange was playing it safe?

Cole Strange was playing it safe?
Started every game as a rookie on one of the better offensive lines in the NFL.

He got injured… if someone here can predict which 2025 rookie linemen will get injured over the next four years I’d appreciate if you gave the Pats a heads up.

The only pick not playing it safe was tyquan thornton. That certainly did not work out but if a high risk pick works out the reward could be huge

If our Oline weren't so ass last year, I could entice drafting Jeanty. But as it is right now, they need to prioritize Oline at all costs.

I'm having flashbacks of Captain Andrew Luck writing those letters to his mom, that was funny. But those battles were not.

We need to protect Captain Maye in order to avoid breaking him, people were saying he was Josh Allen last year pre draft, I don't see that, body wise. Keep letting DEs a free lane to him and it will be concussion and break collarbone every year.
