What would you do and how would you see the draft playing out if we had the number 1 pick?

Assuming the rest of the draft order was the same, TN at 2, CLE at 3 and NYG at 4, what would our trade scenarios look like?

Would all three of those teams be potential trade partners for Cam Ward? Would other teams (NYJ, NO, PIT) join the fray?

Would you sit and take Hunter at 1?

Any scenario would require a future first.

TN doesn't have a lot of trade Capital. No 3rd round pick. They would be porked losing a first round pick in 26 on top of it.

CLE and NYG have 2 3rd round picks.

I would take Cam Ward because having the #1 QB pick in a draft is better than the 3rd QB pick. This is sarcasm but remember when some people were saying that we should not take Maye because he was a "settle" pick.

This is a painful exercise as we were so close. In this case, you trade within the top three for a future first and extras if you can get it.

Why on earth would you want to torture yourself with this excercise?

What I'd do:

A) Trade down to 2 or 3, and picking Hunter/Carter.

Or

B) Trade much further down for a huge haul. Highest bidder for Ward. Don't care how far down I end up. Pittsburgh wants him? Deal.

What I'd never do: trade down to 4.

It sucks we've lost the opportunity to talk about these draft scenarios. It's pretty much Campbell at 4 or hell no.

I just find it interesting how a trade for the first pick would play out.

How in are these teams on Ward? Would several teams really be willing to give up the farm for him? I tend to think not. I think the trade offers might be pretty watered down.
Could TN call are bluff at 2 knowing we aren't taking a QB? Would we take a paltry return so we could get Hunter at 2?
