Doesn't want the cold, Vrabel discipline or the taxes. (Yeah, I know Vrabel wasn't coach at the time.)With Aiyuks contract deadline approaching I figured I would bump this thread back up.
I know a lot of you aren't satisfied with Diggs as the solution to our WR problem. So what would you be willing do part with for Aiyuk?
Some things have changed since the original post. With Sanders reportedly slipping, Carter and Hunter likely off the board, and Will Campbell a mid round pick at best, it's hard to imagine why a team would want to trade up to 4.
Can you think of a plausible scenario for a Team trading up?
By patching together various reports, it appears that Aiyuk tore his ACL, MCL, and said there was meniscus damage. No team will trade for him at this time.Nothing. Saints look to be in serious need at QB
Probably not a choice.Or will they suck for Manning?
I'm thinking suck for Manning. Why trade up? Take a QB with 40 if you feel that or build your OL. Trading up? For what reason? You mean Sheduer at #4? Absolutely mental. The chances of a perfect trade back to 9, receiving 40, and some other sugar just went up exponentially.
Can take Will Campbell there. Nice turn of events. — if you’re a Patriots fan. Saints fans are upset. Did their starting QBs hide a shoulder injury until his $40 million was guaranteed?
Or desperate. People do crazy things when they’re like that. Like sailors in port giving away months’ worth of pay fora brief fling with a hooker.Absolutely mental.
Olave? The chances of a perfect trade back to 9, receiving 40, and some other sugar just went up exponentially.

Of course he did.Did their starting QBs hide a shoulder injury until his $40 million was guaranteed?

I’m not that keen to go down to 9. Have to come out of the 1st with one of Campbell, Membou or Walker imv. Could easily see they all come off the board between 6-8.
I’m with you. Take Hunter/ Carter if they’re there otherwise take whichever of Campbell or Membou that they like. Going LT at 4 makes the rest of the draft a lot easier; no need to expend capital to trade up back into the first for the LT and we’re guaranteed the consensus best LT whichever they prefer.Sure all of that is viable. I just don’t want a TE at 9, I dont want an OT coming off a very serious injury, and I’m not a big T-Mac fan. Conerly would be a bigger reach at 9 than Campbell would at 4. Plus, if they think Campbell is better than Conerly, I’m not keen to settle for the 4th best tackle in the draft.
It obviously gives us more capital to trade back up but there is no guarantee you can get back into the 1st and get the OT we want. The lowest I would trade down is 7 I think. There is no excuse for not coming away from the 1st round without the best tackle, whoever they think that is, or the defensive chess piece.
I think there are a few Patriots related tiers And I don’t like trading out of Tier 2 for a player in a later tier unless the Saints first next year was on the table.
Tier 1: Hunter and Carter (studs)
Tier 2: Campbell, Membou, Walker ( best players at positions of need )
Tier 3: Graham, Warren, Jeanty (good players at non-premium positions or where we don’t have immediate need)
Tier 4: Williams, McMillan (boom bust types)
Tier 5: next wave of tackles etc
