I must have missed the part where they also had him switch positions. Brilliant comparison.
BGC showed a video of Campbell versus Kennard from 2024. Kennard is projected as a 3rd round pick in 2025, so if Campbell is a 1st round pick he should dominate Kennard. TL DR - Campbell's performance against a futre NFL 3rd rounder was not great. Kennard bull rushed Campbell and made inside moves as Campbell set up too deep. If anyone looks at the clip and is honest, Campbell does not look like a Top 10 draft pick.
Membou is worth more to a team that wants him to start his rookie year at RT.
To be fair though, that is speculation. He has never played the position and while he has traits that make us think he can play inside, we don't knowThe consensus is worst case scenario Campbell will be an elite guard.
Our cap space is dwindling in 2026 though. We can make moves next year to clear cap space, but I am all for bringing in Tyron Smith especially if we bring in Simmons. With Tyron Smith still available, Im super onboard on drafting someone who is not a day 1 starter
we still have the most (or 2nd) most cap space, btw
Fair enough. To be fair though, that is speculation. He has never played the position and while he has traits that make us think he can play inside, we don't know
I agree. But most others do not understand. The play at 27 sec mark where Kennard steps to the outside and the busts up through the inside. There are multiple times that happens on his tape and that is the big reason that I am out on him. He could improve, but that is not a sign of a top 5 pick, imo.
The issues might not necessarily be recurring. They might be like Bosh from the NBA but they might not, like Trey Smith in college. Blood clots are not completely uncommon amongst athletes. Can't count on Barmore. His issues will be recurrent (nevermind that he's risking his life every time he takes a hit -- moreso than the average player).
You don't remember last year? Alt was a bonafide top 5 LT prospect. The only reason he is playing RT is because he went to a team that has an amazing LT.This is depressing. I can't remember a draft without a bona fide 1st round left tackle prospect worthy of a top 10 pick.

Every time I see the name Membou I think of this. The late 90's was really weird.
I keep seeing people say his tape shows an excellent LT and I think it shows an effective one but not excellent.I agree. But most others do not understand.
LOL. good point, they both made the pro bowl as RTs the year before they switched. If they had switched as rookies I imagine they would have been just as successful. How well did each play LT as a rookie?

This, and in fact, considering how upright he plays, and that he is 6'6", a transition to guard might be much harder than people think. To be fair though, that is speculation. He has never played the position and while he has traits that make us think he can play inside, we don't know
