The Giants At 3

No, I pointed out how great he is at running backwards. Look at some of those videos I posted. He is great at turning 6 yards sacks into 15 yard sacks.

You posted three videos. That isn't proof of anything. I have seen even the best QBs do that. Any QB who usually tries to avoid defenders by running outside the pocket rather than trying to step up in the pocket will have video of them losing a lot of yards being sacked on individual plays. More video if they have o-lines as bad as Colorado has.

I am not advocating Sanders is good or should be considered a mobile QB, but you are going way too far to criticize the guy.

If I was the Giants i'd just draft Huter or Carter and then call up Jacksonville next year and give them all the picks for T-Law after the Jags inevitably suck again.
I am sure Brian Daboll would go along with that plan... not sure the jaguars would though, lol...

I fully expect the draft to go Ward/Carter/Hunter in that order and as of right now so does Vegas. The only other semi- realistic possibility is the Browns picking Sanders since they literally just have Kenny Pickett right now.
The second most likely scenario based on Vegas odds is Ward, Carter, Sanders. Where the rumors are Giants love Sanders, the rumors on the Browns and Sanders aren't the same.

Barring a ridiculous pro day display by Sanders or the Carter injury looking worse it seems Ward then Carter is almost a given at this point at top 2

Is the info about Giants love for Sanders a smoke screen? Hope not.

It feels to me like there is some cognitive bias going on with how Sanders is being valued. The main thing I keep hearing is that he’s overrated because of who his father is. People are associating that ****iness and arrogance to him because of Deion, even though by all accounts he got positive reviews regarding his character by those he interviewed with at the Combine. And those who decided he’s in need of a humbling are already imagining him waiting in that green room while he tumbles farther and farther down the first round, away from the first overall pick that he was projected to mere months ago.

The one thing about Sanders not having elite traits is a valid concern, but I also think the mistake a lot of people are making are measuring Sanders to previous draft classes as opposed to this class. Again, this is a weak class overall apart from RB and DT. Hunter and Carter are the only blue chip prospects, and I’m not sure they’d even be considered that in last year’s class. But you can only measure by who’s available in this year, and considering that who the best prospect is after Ward/Hunter/Carter has such wide variance with no obvious answer, it stands to reason that the consensus #2 QB could be part of that discussion, especially with how hard it is to find good QB help.

I felt like Sanders was being a bit overrated from the start but I’m now feeling like there is an overcorrection happening. He’s played in a pro style offense run by Pat Shurmur, same guy who worked with current Browns coach Kevin Stefanski while with the Vikings. Ward and Sanders are the only two QB’s in this draft class that could be Week 1 starters, especially if the Browns go with Sanders. I thought Zach Wilson was wildly overrated and that the Jets were making a mistake taking him 2nd overall. Didn’t matter because they did it anyway. I’m just some guy on the internet. All I’m saying is don’t rule out the possibility just because you don’t like the player, because NFL teams may see it differently.

have not done any work on QBs in this draft except read a few short scouting reports on ward/sanders... I couldn't even fake it if i wanted to, lol...
Same.

I followed Texas all year, Ewers looks like a career back up. No idea on Milroe, Howard looked meh at the combine. The Oregon program usually has QBs that are ready to play, but I'll be lying if I said I know anything about Gabriel. Same with Leonard and McCord. I guess if I was a Giants guy in scouting and player personnel, I'd be looking real hard at those second tier guys to see if any can play at the next level. If not, I'd be trading NE a R3-R4 pick for Milton and just biting the bullet. I get the issue is that you coulda had him last year and now we're dealing a high pick for him.

Milton seems like a better option than any of the 6 guys I mentioned. Just gotta be bold and deal your pick.

Milton shouldn’t be dealt for anything less than a high third.

I'd be happy with something in the #103-115 range.

There it is.

It’s Campbell or a trade down for us.
MIke Florio's source that gave him the Wilson signing is also telling him no QB at 3. I'll withhold the idea it is a done deal until we hear what Giants are saying AFTER the pro day workout on Friday but not looking like a QB for them at the moment.
Unfortunate but if they pick Campbell/Membou and he becomes the franchise LT all will be good.

Not all good, Hunter is a hall of fame talent.
I would try to move hell and high water to get him.
He would of been the pick at 1 I’m sure for us.

They also signed Jameis Winston. I don't think it's a slam dunk, bud. Both of those guys will compete for the QB1 job. One's carrying a clip board. Where's that leave Sanders?
on another team

The Giants seem more likely to try to sign Dart or wait until the 2nd or 3rd round to sign a future QB.

No QB at 3 means they are convinced Sanders is taken at 2 l, they aren't high on Sanders, or they are positioning themselves to not give away their interests in Sanders in hopes a team like the Raiders don't trade up to 2 to take him.

I don't believe any pre draft talk

Are you trading next year's 1 to move up? Will it take more than that? Probably. I love Hunter but I don't see the Giants trading down without a massive haul if Hunter is their guy. Of course, if they are only mildly on Hunter over Sanders I'd make the call and ask what it would take,
If he's not there and a reasonable trade can't be made, then you have to move on.
It's not like not getting Travis Hunter dooms them to mediocrity for the next decade.
Next best think is a franchise LT.

Maybe, but Florio has a source inside the Giants that is credible so have to give it some serious weight.

Dart at 21 or with a move up make more sense to me/

I’d part with a second this year and third next year.

Sanders has a weak arm, is not very mobile and takes a lot of sacks. Only positive is extremely low turnover rate.
He also comes with Deion baggage. No way he is picked in top 3.
He has Mac Jones like talent

Cam Ward: 406 yards rushing
Shedeur Sanders: NEGATIVE 127 yards rushing

Yeah great comparison there.

Besides Shedeur is very talented at running backwards. I have never seen a college QB so skilled at turning a 6 yard sack into a 14 yard sack.

ohhhh!! one play against Nebraska!!! oh whoa!! that sure eliminates the NEGATIVE 127 yards rushing he had the past 3 years!!!

Wow those are some UGLY sacks. Looks like a statue at times...could he have been seeing ghosts? I'd say more than likely, he was seeing several ghosts, maybe a poltergeist or two, and throw in some demons to be sure. Just wow.....

@Sam Bam Cunningham ...ow! That right there is SAVAGE! Was it really necessary? YES OF COURSE! I don't know if I would use the word "talent" here though lol. Nice one though!

I’d part with a second this year and third next year.
And we can be thankful, once again, that you are not the GM of this team. Giving away draft picks like they are candy.
