No Hunter, No Carter, No Problem take Tyler Warren

Just draft a stud LT And suck it up.
Stop acting stupid.
We NEED that MAN.
There is no stud LT in this draft. Every LT draftee has a flaw. Campbell's arms are too short. Membou played RT exclusively in college. Conerly is susceptible to bull rushing - see Senior bowl. Simmons is a mystery with a bad knee injury. Banks is too stiff for a starting NFL LT. On and on. If there was a Joe Alt in the 2025 draft, we would all agree with you.

Which draftee with an obvious fault do you want to risk a top ten draft pick on?

Josh McDaniels Offense implements a lot of Blocking help from the RB and TE's. The scheme helps Offensive Tackles: I'm fine with anybody but Vederian Lowe. Maybe they feel Campbell is in the mold of Matt Light I'm ok with that.

The Cowboys had 3 All Pro Olinemen in recent years with Tyron Smith, Frederick and Zach Martin (a Future HOF) plus a real good RT in Lael Collins.

They won ZERO playoff games.

Again, having the best oline means nothing without having a complete team.
Who was that ?Dak

Hey guys, I'm sorry I'm so aggressive some times.
I see idiocy ,and I move quickly. No direct hate/ move on you guys.
I don't deal with Dumbass very well.

Need a TE with Blocking prowess Sam like Mason Taylor.

Ty Warren compares very favorably to Trey McBride but Warren is better vs man coverage and has a very good contested catch rate. McBride however is better vs zone coverage and slightly better run blocker.

You get a very good but not elite TE that would be close to elite vs man coverage, As we saw last year teams tend to play more zone vs Maye due to his ability to run and Warren is only average vs zone.

The bigger issue with Warren at 4 is his lack of TD's. Just like Trey McBride where the lack of TD's carried from college to the pros there is concern the same with Ty Warren,

Would you draft Trey McBride, or a slightly better version of him at #4 this year?

My favored guy is Josh Simmons... But i understand the whole knee issue derailing that pick at 4.

Will Campbell is the next best option... I do not care if he is considered a reach... Its not a Cole Strange type reach... You are taking the best in the position rankings, who is routinely a top ten player in the many mock drafts... 6 spots? Thats not what i consider an overdraft...

Its even less of a "reach" when the overall talent level in the draft is as weak as it has been forecasted...

A “reach” i see what you did right there.

The value is going to be there because both the raiders and jets are gonna need that QB.

Absolutely the pats are trading back if Carter and Hunter are gone.
Hey, I hope you’re right. I’m just not sure that you are

I think TE is a larger priority than most think, but I just can't see it being a top 1st round for us.

I don't care if we trade down to middle and get one of the top rated LT's, because they're all risks, with so much depending on what sort of dedication and growth they will commit too, as well as what sort of coaching. Get one - and make him play from day 1.

After that, we don't really have room for a WR that will oust guys who have just finally worked out their rookie issues. We KNOW that rookie WR's never make it in JMD's offense. So, take a flyer on a solid guy in the 2nd. Along with Skattebo in the 3rd or something.

We have two TE's in Henry and Hooper.
Lowe is our only LT.
==========
I don't see a third TE as a high priority,
HOWEVER, this is a good draft for TE's and we do need a 3rd TE, so I see us draft one in the top 100 picks.

The smart play for the patriots is trade down to the 9-15 range draft a LT there I like Simmons, then take the picks we added and trade back up into round 1 for a WR. I like Egbuka

Getting a LT and then trading back into the 1st round to get Egbuka would be a huge W ( if Carter or Hunter are both gone by #4).

Drake would personally deliver the card for Hunter too.
Only if we had a starting LT.

Do you really think that Drake would be happy with Lowe and a hope of what we able to get with our 2nd pick protecting him at LT?

This is true even if Carter or Hunter were available.

That has been exactly my hope. And I would do it regardless of who is available at 4

My take: if Hunter is gone the Pats might be F’ed UNLESS someone is extremely horny for Sanders and offers a top 10 pick plus a 2 or couple threes.

There really isn’t ANYONE left (I’m assuming Carter is gone already also) who provides value at 4 compared to any other draft.

Carter and Hunter look like can't miss prospects. Personally would not pass them up. I think Egbuka is gonna be a solid pro. The OL in the first round is the riskier pick for me but also understand we need help there.
