This is a ridiculously horrible deal. 3yr/$69M with $26M Guaranteed for a WR with attitude issues who shot himself out of 2 lockerrooms and coming off a torn ACL less than 5 months ago. Guy isn't going to be 80% of what he was in Buffalo.

Arguably the worst move of Vrabel's offseason.
Sorry DB : Vrabel values the Position unlike You and BB: when Diggs is right he's a very good #1. Even if he's a #2 after that injury it's good enough. Diggs is going help Boutte and Pop Douglas reach their Potential. Who are you banking on Polk and Baker?? We had the worse WR room in 24: you have to pay to get better in this game and not be cheap and picky like BB.

What if Jeanty is the next Barkley??
Barkley had 57 yards and an average of 2.3 ypc in the Super Bowl. I realize he had 2,000 yards in the regular season. Besides the Eagles signed him in free agency, after he was a proven player, they didn't draft him.

I don't care if Jeanty is the next Barkley, RB is still not a premium position in today's NFL. Particularly for the draft.

We need impact dudes. Hunter and Carter play DE and WR, aside from QB and LT those are the most premium positions you should be drafting for.

If you want a speedy RB, I would take a shot on Bhayshul Tuten in the 3rd or 4th round. The guy blazed a 4.32 40 at the combine and rushed for over 1,150 yards and 15 TDs with the Hokies last year while adding another 340 yards and 4 TDs in the passing game.

Diggs feels like he will have a big impact on Drake and do for him what he did for Allen in his 2nd season... this is only a positive for the team.
Right on twin good WR's make young QB's better.

Talented? Yes
But next to Nico Collin’s, Diggs looked pedestrian.

Not a legit #1 but certainly the Pats #1
Diggs had 496 yards in 8 games Patriots WR's had a little over that in 15 and 17 Games respectively. Pop Douglas had 621 in 17 Games. Boutte had 589 in 15 games. Diggs had 496 in 8 games: yeah we had WR problems.

BB had First shot at D-Hop in 2023 and let him leave the building: D-Hop went on to lead the Titans in receiving 1,057ygds. Mac Jones at the time couldn't use a WR like D-Hop. Glad Vrabel was aggressive here you have to be in this game. Your Diggs jersey is on me DB.

How many games did the Giants win with Barkley?

Plenty of good RB in this class. You can get really good ones in the 3rd and 4th. No need to waste the 4th overall with Jeanty

whomever thought this is a good deal needs a beating I mean sacking.

And in 25.

Not spending on injured players is a way to get better!

Boutte made good strides towards the end of the season. I’m holding onto to him to see if that chemistry blooms with Maye. Having Diggs only makes Boutte more dangerous. I’m thinking Bourne is traded for a 7th back to the 49ers.
They have 2 5ths. Get a 5th in exchange for Bourne & a 7th.

Boston Herald's Andrew Callahan wrote on X...
"The initial terms look good for the #Patriots. It's a longer deal (3 years), so they get a fully healthy Diggs in 2026 and 2027, but the gap in guaranteed money ($26 million) to total money ($69 million) indicates the team can still cut bait in case things go south,"

There's a reason I tend to ignore these signing threads and I should have ignored this one. I swear we could have signed Jamar Chase, Tee Higgins, Chris Godwin or DK Metcalfe and the response would still include the usual ludicrously OTT negative takes from the "look at me" posters on here where everything is wrong i.e. player, money contract etc.

Will this work out? Who knows? For me it's clearly a risk worth taking.

I’m a little confused by the negative takes. That money isn’t going to prevent the Pats from doing anything else they want to do, so what are we even talking about. Good addition.
Because he isn’t the “answer”, he’s a “diva, and a “cancer”. There were people on here who believed that he isn’t an upgrade, so I’m not sure what the answer would be for them. Some of them also don’t want the Patriots to take Hunter. I understand that this is Boston and we don’t like divas and take that **** to LA where they embrace being a diva. However, that comes with the position now.

They would prefer BB make our WR's selections: because he's so good at nailing them.

You started the reply as a respectable 90s rap but then it devolved into a normal post. Some of yawl believe he done, you betta leave us. This is Boston, we drinkin Chivas. take that **** LA, embrace the divas. Maybe its the mad cow, but I am a believa. Denny Crane.
