Yeah?l!! How about you not complaining about the folks who complain about the complainers!!!!!!!
It is a never ending cycle. I agree. You can disagree - that is OK.

I don't want to ignore anyone because even "those people" have good points. lmao

by those people I mean the ones that have no joy in their life.
I don’t think having joy in life could be judged by arguing with anonymous people about football.

There is work left to be done, but as long as they finish it off this will be a very good off season.

Defensively
Interior DL was very bad last year. They added Williams, and it appears Barmore will be ready to go. White can be both a DT and the big DE on running downs. We added Tonga for depth and now the guys who were playing major snaps are reserves. I’d like to see a draft choice here.

EDGE Added Landry plus Chaisson for depth. Jennings back to a part time role is good. Like to see a draft pick here too.

LB Added Spillane and Gibbens and getting Bentley back.

CB Added a strong CB2. I think we need more depth.

S Added Epps who will be a big help.

Offense
Qb. Added Dobbs, meh, but needed someone.

Rb. Needs to be addressed but if they make Gibson the 3rd down back we can easily draft a backup. I like Jennings too. Unfilled need but not worried yet.

WR So far this is the failure. We are NFL worst at WR and Ohio States WRs last year were better than we have. We have been rumored in in a bunch of guys. Godwin I get, he just wasn’t leaving but Metcalf, Deebo, Kupp,, Adams, Cooks all ended up elsewhere and we have a gaping need they could have helped fill. Diggs wasn’t signed, hopefully they get that done.
Not fixing this prevents the of season for being a success. We can’t just accept the worst WR group, by far, in the league. We at least need to sign a guy that would be our 1 and draft a wr no later than round 2.

TE. Good here, but need some youth.

OL. We entered the off season with only 2 OL who have any business being on the field, at least as starters. We added C and RT to those 2 Gs. We signed a veteran IOL for depth. We have Wallace and Robinson for development. We lack a LT. Again, the off season isn’t a success if this isn’t fixed. I would have liked to get a vet and a draft pick, but it looks like we need a LT in round 1 and he needs to play day 1.

We have filled a lot of needs and improved the roster dramatically but the 2 biggest holes, with no one on the roster to fill them haven’t been addressed. Filling those makes it a great off season, not filling them leaves us with holes that make it hard to compete.
Very nicely written post, good summary of the offseason thus far and how they can still address the outstanding needs.

So you admit that you are playing the game and are not an impartial observer?
You are impartial? I am just like anyone else, including you.

If you mean, "You are impartial?", it is a swell thought, but it doesn't account for your or my own biases.

You aren't just like anyone else, including me, unless you're boiling everything down to carbon compounds.

That is fine, but please don't complain about the other posters you don't want to "ignore". It is OK to complain about what they comment on, but complaining about the posters themselves is tiring.
You're right, I will try and do better

You are correct, it was just me being pissy about something that we as fans have the obligation to do. Complain about the team and speculate on how to make it better.

There's certainly no shortage of folks here that take fulfilling their 'obligation' f'n seriously

Ultimately it’s an anonymous group of strangers so done are going to annoy you.

I just have this suspicion that either the Browns, the Giants, or a team who trades up with them, will end up taking Dart instead of Sanders in some big “draft night surprise”.
It would be very on-brand for both of those franchises. After all, the Giants just had Danny Dimes, why not draft him again?

It feels like a Browns move to me. They are so analytics focused. I could see those guys feeling like he’s secretly the best QB or something based on some data set.

Remember all the analysis last year? Giants selected Nabors at 6 and the Titans selected Latham at 7, followed by Penix at 8, JJ McCarthy at 10, and Nix at 12. Remember all the experts laughing at Penix to the Falcons? Nix was a 5 year starter and athletically limited?

Now what do you have? The Falcons, Vikings, and Broncos have their QB starters on rookie deals, and the the Giants and Titans don't have a QB. Who would you rather be today? And you think the Giants, Titans, and Browns should not select a QB this year either?

I would say Joe Milton looks like a more impressive QB than Penix.

Penix is going to be a very good qb in the nfl for a long tine barring injury

Milton has potential but is being over rated on the basis of one preseason like game where the opponent was not trying.

Im looking at skill set, arm strength, mobility, athleticism and accuracy.
I’ve never been impressed watching Penix tape.
I see a Ryan Malett meets Big Ben,

Im thankful he wasn’t the pick, mediocrity written all over it.
I would of gone Nix or McCarthy over him.
