It's easy, and only takes a few moments.NFL network is saying Cleveland is set on Carter.A lot of our discussion has assumed Abdul Carter would be drafted before Travis Hunter and that Hunter may fall to us at 4. But what if Hunter is taken first and Carter is availabe at 4. We've already built up our defense through free agency, so do we take Carter or a LT at 4?
He won’t be there it’s Hunter or a trade down at 4.Carter. End of story.
we still could use pass rush help and White isn't exactly lighting things up. Landry posted an abysmal 4,8% pass rush win rate last year although i like that signing and Chaisson as well.A lot of our discussion has assumed Abdul Carter would be drafted before Travis Hunter and that Hunter may fall to us at 4. the raiders won't select a qb at 6 I believe. They need defense or o-line badly. He won’t be there it’s Hunter or a trade down at 4.
If im the Patriots and Hunter is gone you can trade with a team trying to get in front of the Raiders or the Raiders themselves for Sanders.
A extra second and third or fourth this draft could be very valuable to fix the holes and areas of improvement.
Cleveland will regret taking Carter because they’ve been hoarding defense for years. They need to trade down or take a QB.He won’t be there it’s Hunter or a trade down at 4.

They should probably trade down just to save some money.Cleveland will regret taking Carter because they’ve been hoarding defense for years. They need to trade down or take a QB.
I’m all for the “best player available”. But when you’re constantly drafting high, it’s probably time to rethink that. If your team is lopsided and has enough defensive players or guys at a position, you’re going to get in trouble going the BPA route if it’s a defensive player. Carter would be more valuable to NE than Cleveland as they already have the league’s best pass rusher. They should probably trade down just to save some money.
Problem is whoever trades up probably wants Hunter or Carter. Might have to be us.
I’ve been suggesting that as a possibility, maybe Vrabel doesn’t get totally hosed to love up for Hunter that maybe we only lose a third this year and a second next year based on the relationship. They should probably trade down just to save some money.

They’d be goddamn insane to choose T-Rex the Guard over Abdul Carter. Instant fireable offense.A lot of our discussion has assumed Abdul Carter would be drafted before Travis Hunter and that Hunter may fall to us at 4. Unless you're desperate for a QB, taking anyone in this draft over Hunter or Carter is an instant fireable offense. Thankfully the 3 teams ahead of us meet that desperation qualifier, so there's hope. They’d be goddamn insane to choose T-Rex the Guard over Abdul Carter. Instant fireable offense.
The question is whether the BPA is the best guy in the slot you pick or the best guy in the slot you trade down to PLUS the guy(s) you get with the extra picks accumulated.I’m all for the “best player available”. I think two QB's are going to sneak up in the top two picks. All 3 teams picking before the Pats are in dire need of a QB and teams reach for QB's every draft.I don't understand where the Carter to Cleveland story came from, by all accounts their fans want a QB or Travis Hunter.
Does anyone have a source or a leak as with Ward to Titans?
From everything I gathered on their forums, the Browns fans don't think having a 2nd elite edge changes the trajectory of their team much if at all. And while Carter will obviously create an elite tandem - I'm inclined to agree with them if Pickett, Watson and even Dart are their QBs rostered.
I hate trading down, but this may be the year if Hunter or Carter aren't available. I don't want a to have to settle for a Nate Solder type LT at 4. There doesn't seem to be a WR worth taking at 4. The Pats have to nail at least two offense picks in this upcoming draft.Unfortunately, due to their piss poor offensive free agency, they are forced to draft a LT or a WR. You can’t go into 2025 with no weapons or protection for Maye like in 2024, that’s a waste of another year for Maye.
