Player Signing Patriots sign Center Garrett Bradbury

My version of @upstater1's table, projecting out to what it'd look like on a 53 man roster. Only requires 11 players total, although 1 isn't currently rostered - and wouldn't mind upgrading Andrews.

Why is Strange not on this roster and why can't he continue to lear the position?
I was responding to 203Pat who wished that Strange wasn’t on the Patriots roster.

But right now i have more confidence in Strange’s ability to protect Drake Maye than Bradbury.

Bradbury is our starter now, Strange is staying at LG and the rest of those C are expendable if they can find a better guy in the draft. As it stands they'd probably keep just one of Andrews or Brown.
They absolutely need to nail a solid true Center Prospect in the Draft. Even if that prospect needs a season to be prepared to start. There are 3 Centers in this draft they could get that although they have flaws, could be long term solutions.

Maybe two years ago he wasn’t. But last year he was 100% a liability to the Vikings.

Was he a liability all year or just down the stretch when the entire line seem to have fallen apart? Darnold had a great year. I can't see Darnold having a good year with his center being a liability. Darnold is a guy who sees ghosts. I didn't watch many Vikings games last year.

Would've preferred Jenkins.

Jenkins is a guard, not a center. They could still sign Jenkins. My guess is his price it too much considering his injury history.

Since Strange is probably the starting LG, I'd look at Brandon Scherff instead. Cheaper and a quality backup guard.

I know that Jenkins is an OG. Just inferring that if I had to choose one over the other as a signing, I'd rather have Jenkins.

Honestly, it looks like a representative NFL offensive line. It's not the 90s Cowboys, but it's not the 2024 Patriots either.

Let's hope Man has a bounceback season.
Lowe is still a sore spot, but hopefully a draft pick fixes that. Otherwise, should be fine. Probably pretty nasty in the run game off the right side.

Good signing. We have a professional caliber starting IOL now with strange Bradbury Onwenu

I assume Robinson is given a chance to develop. 2 more in the draft?
No one else in that group belongs in the bigs.

Now let’s fix LT

You aren’t the 55th/64 center in pass blocking grade by being bad just down the stretch.

Guess who was the 56th center in pass blocking grade last year ? Ben Brown.

They could sign Jenkins to lg and move strange to c , I would prefer that but I am fine with Bradbury at the moment he is better than what we had last year

Gotta have workman guys. I know nothing of this guy other than what the others have posted... good run blocker, suspect pass blocking. He's a center by position, not a guard trying to be center. Guy's started 88 games. He's not an all-pro guy, but they gotta start someplace. It's a step in the right direction.

Edit: I’ll give credit to Bradbury. He is a good run blocker. I think that pass blocking is more important

Protection was not good here but i wonder how many times vikings ol’men were screaming in their heads like the announcers here

One word: Serviceable. Hopefully they draft a rookie who's good enough to take is job. If not he was good enough for the Vikings to win a hell of a lot of games.

Drama queens gotta drama. Strange had 117 snaps at center and allowed one pressure. Its such a small sample, we have no idea what he can do. He was a decent guard when healthy. He is young and had good potential.
