It’s envy. Bengals are taking care of their huge investment in a franchise QB (Joe Burrows).

Meanwhile, patriots are lying in the weeds. Drake Maye once again will be asked to carry the offense because no one else is able to make a splash play

If you really think that, I can only assume you’ve not read many of his posts. His mask fully slipped when he thought Milton Williams signed with CAR rather than NE.

Beyond that, we get it. The Patriots aren’t good and haven’t been for a few years now. That’s why they cleaned house in the offseason. Yet after having gone 4-13 for the past two years, you have posters acting like miserable pissants because they haven’t immediately fixed all of the roster issues.

Bengals have had a winning record 4 years in a row. Patriots haven’t put out a watchable product on the field in 6 years. Worst offense I have ever seen since I began watching football in 1993.

Bengals had a better defense and ground game with Joe Mixon. They have to nail the draft and get competent players on defense.

On the hand, the Pats will continue to be in the cellar if they neglect offense. Hoarding defense is not sustainable.

Burrow's gonna throw for nearly 5000 yards and they'll be .500 again. Can't pay their #1 defensive player. Can't stop the run. No receiver worth a **** after the first two. TE wasn't good enough to warrant resigning here. Yup, they are freakin' great. Best two WRs in the game.

As far as Foxboro goes, Don't be Bill got ****canned, so I really don't give a **** about 2024.

Would I love to have Chase and Higgins here? Absolutely!

Would I like to build the Pats the way the Bengals are building their's? Not really.

Yes, they are keeping their key players on offense. But this is a short term strategy and it doesn't address their most glaring issues.

I pointed out how the Eagles have a top heavy cap structure and they let multiple key free agents walk this offseason. They were lucky enough to win a Super Bowl before they had to let key players walk. But will the Bengals be as fortunate especially with their glaring deficiencies? They are not a well rounded team like the Eagles were last year.

The Patriots really screwed up their roster in most of the 2020s thus far, but that doesn't mean we cannot criticize another team for how they build their roster. It isn't envy.

That's not really saying much coming from the Pats as Geskicki just had his 3rd best season as a pro catching 665 yards. Like Jonnu Smith, the Pats didn't know how to use either one of them.

Patriots have put an unwatchable offense on the field the past 5 years. We have gone 8-27 the past two years. That is putrid.

Um... yeah... one thing was 4 years ago, the other thing was 7 years ago, not exactly a huge gap in a league with a century of history.

The Bengals have definitely had a better offense in the last few years, and what has it gotten them? Haven't even made the playoffs the last two seasons. Now they are spending like crazy to keep these "weapons" that are just barely cracking a .500 record.
