Cap is absolute crap if you have a remotely savvy FO and an owner willing to spend. Embarrassing to laugh at the Bengals for spending on offense as a fan of the team with the worst offensive roster in the NFL.
If the Bengals lose… is it still smart?

It's impressive. But also, they're stuck in that limbo where they're never going to be god enough until they tank and draft a QB.
I enjoyed the game more when the QB didn't control the game so much.

Your father, the one person you can be 100% certain can not take offense at being called a mother****er as you are the living proof he in fact is one. My number two son called me a mother****er (in a sort of half reverential way). I didn't bat an eye, just responded "Yep, and it's your mother we're talkin' about." Fairly sure our oldest boy would have slugged him had he been around but the boys are all different, as is my relationship with each of them.
I really enjoy those type of stories.

given actionable data, is not Maye. Next year, hopefuly and likely.

Unless is someone else im not thinking.... Omwenu? He kinda stank

same as above
It's tough to compare the actual value of NFL players that play different positions, but for what it's worth Approximate Value
created by profootball reference attempts to put a single number on the seasonal value of a player at any position.

In 2024 Maye had an AV of 8, while Stevenson had an AV of 5.

I saw on Twitter from Bengals fans - "now all we need is to find 2 or 3 mega studs on defense in the draft and we will be back in this!"

Okay, sure... because that is just so easy to do
I mean, they'll be able to find a DT and a linebacker, even if they just stumble on them accidentally. Maybe they get lucky and get Gilotte down the board and he works out. But secondary help is pretty thin in this draft.

You may want to bone up on your WA/Seattle weather knowledge.

I was thinking the same thing.

I've never been to Seattle but I've heard nothing but bad things about the weather. Every time I see a game there on the boob tube it looks drab and damp.

Basing this off of the idea that we can’t fix everything in one off season. Started looking at what are our must needs, and what are things that would be good to fix, but maybe we can’t right now.

Offense:
If the season started tomorrow we could be fine with our QB, RB and TE positions. Upgrades at Rb and TE would be nice but more of a luxury compared to other spots.

WR: Need one guy for sure through trade or the draft. 2 would be best, but might have to wait for that. Is Amari Cooper better than Boutte or Bourne right now? Maybe, but we have more pressing needs.

LT: Monumental Need

LG: As much as I’d like to upgrade here, I can see them letting Sow, Robinson and Wallace battle for this spot.

C: I personally think they intend on this being Strange’s home

RG/RT: Fine, could use some depth. Depending on LG victor, Wallace and Robinson could provide depth.

Stating the obvious, but the major needs on offense are LT and impact WR.

Luxury needs: RB, TE, another WR, LG

Defense:
DL: Real concern with Barmore. I’m operating under the thought he won’t be available.

Williams and White are two starters. Pharms and Tonga good depth. Tonga maybe as early down run defender. Need another DT and DE oppo White.

Edge: Landry, Chaisson, Jennings and Ximines could be fine. Would like another but more of a luxury.

LB: Solid

CB: Solid. Another nickel type would be good

S: Pretty solid. A young FS type would be good

Defense Needs: DT and DE

Luxury: Edge, Nickel, FS

Alrighty…

Back in 2021, Ekuale looked like he could have been a nice find for us. Showed some inside pass rush chops and there seemed to be something there to work with, a developing player who was older at 27 but still best football ahead. 2022 he was ok but never really built on it and was just whatever. 2023 he got hurt early. Last year he was coming back from injury and also thrust into a starter role that's pretty ridiculous for his talent level.

I'm assuming PIT got him for a low cost 1 year deal that doesn't guarantee him a roster spot and that's a solid add for him at that price point/roster level. I think he's fine to have in camp as part of the initial 90. Ideally he'd be a guy who gets cut before the season or makes it as a last level of depth.

When it comes to Cam Robinson, not sure what his market really is or how much leverage he has. There are not many teams that are in dire need of a LT:

Dolphins: Armstead (maybe)
Bills: Dawkins
Jets: Fashanu
Ravens: Stanley
Bengals: Brown Jr.
Steelers: Jones
Colts: Raimann
Jaguars: Little
Titans: Moore Jr.
Broncos: Bolles
Chiefs: Moore
Raiders: Miller
Chargers: Slater
Giants: Thomas
Eagles: Mailata
Commanders: Tunsil
Bears: Jones
Lions: Decker
Packers: Walker
Vikings: Darrisaw
Falcons: Matthews
Panthers: Ekwonu
Saints: Fuaga
Buccaneers: Wirfs
Cardinals: Johnson Jr.
Rams: Jackson
49ers: Williams
Seahawks: Cross

Texans, Cowboys and Browns.

Who in this list can we trade for?

Of course it's Maye. Even before we get into QB play his average rushing stats were only 20 yards less per game than Rham's.

Cool metric and info, thanks

Of course Maye's impact is much bigger and he might trully be the best player on O already, but i wanted to laugh at our state anyway in my op

They also give Hunter Henry a 6.
