Are you all in on CB Travis Hunter at 4 (Hunter as a WR?)

I was just watching his receiving highlights. I love how quickly and aggressively he comes back for the ball. His speed, quickness, body control, and hands are impressive.

I don’t want to get my hopes up though as he will likely be gone before pick 4.

The question of whether he's a WR or DB should scare teams, especially the one's with top picks.

It won't shock me if he slides.
The Best player pound for pound in the Draft: and it wouldn't shock you if he slides.

Curious to know who's your #1 Player is this Draft?? FTR: Hunter is mine with Carter a close Second.

I think playing him exclusively at one position is a mistake. If he comes to NE and plays as a starting WR, it would be bonkers to not have a few D packages where he slides into CB late / in key spots.

Hes crazy if he doesn't go into the NFL as a WR...

Simple economics... Receivers get paid more... there are two WRs in the league with 100m in guarantees... the highest guarantee for a CB is 3/4 of that...

Edit: three wr - bengals gave chase 115m in guarantees...

He’s a very good WR. So if that is going to be his main position, I think he could be very successful. He has excellent hands, is very shifty running his routes, therefore gets good separation. Dont know what his speed is, but I’d guess in the 4.4 range and then I’d bet he runs an easy under 7 three cone. Just watching him, it’s easy to see the speed and shiftiness. And though he’s not big, he’d certainly not short at 6’1”.

I would bet he’d be our best WR in his first season. It would be amazing if we can get him at 4, entering the final week when we were still at 1, I wanted him with the 1st pick overall.

I think he needs to focus on one side of the ball as a rookie.

Yes as of right now he's a better cb than a wr... but he's still easily the best wr in the draft.
A lot of NFL guys believe he will eventually be a better wr than cb, although could be great at both.
His wr tools are just off the chain.
In the NFL you obviously have to choose one or the other as your main thing, nobody can do both ft.
It makrs more sense to have him primarily as a wr but still getting some snaps at cb.
Makes me salivate but I think he's gone before 4

I think he has “best receiver in the nfl” talent. I really do. The acceleration, change of direction and ball skills are just otherworldly. It looks like he’s running on those bionic legs.

I think he could do it.....

We could let Gonz, Davis, and Marcus Jones to play CB in our base package....then bring on Hunter as DB#4 when we go to nickel/dime packages to limit his snaps at CB...as I don't think we will be using a free safety a lot this year....I think we are gonna man up a lot...and let Dugger/Peppers/Mapu knock people into next week...

I think 65 offensive reps at WR and maybe 20 defensive reps.....

a similar example would be when we traded back and instead of drafting jerry rice we drafted an o lineman...trevor matich. and rice wasn't a two way playing heisman award winner. take the talent.

if he's still there do you do milton and 4 for 3 ?
I'd be happy to get off that cheap.

It probably will cost a lot more. I don't think we can be sure of anything because he could go 1. But if Ward goes 1 then we might have to move to 2 and that would certainly cost more than Milton.

It might be too expensive but I think we have to consider it because we won't have another chance at a player that good until next year and even then as we've seen free agency doesn't seem to bring that to market and hopefully we aren't picking so high in next year's draft.
