Not a bad idea, I’m especially fond of Simmons. I would prefer a WR with more height though (Golden is 5'11").Matthew Golden will be the best WR to come out of this class.
If we could trade down to 10-12, take Golden. Then with the extra picks trade back into 1st and pick up Josh Simmons.
Indeed. In fact, before this off season I was absolutely and positively on the Will Campbell bandwagon. At the time, it was my firm belief that drafting him was a MUST DO. And, just a few weeks back I stated to others on here that I had believed that in the past, but since then, I've changed my mind. Not changed my mind that a true and solid LT is a MUST, but that at least in this draft he's not at the same level as Joe Alt. He could end up being one of those exceptions to the rule and be a solid LT, or he could be a year in-year out All Pro LG (which is great to have, but a young and solid LT is needed more).A year ago people were excited about the possibility of Campbell or Banks.
Talent, and more height (with enough weight) is always better. It has occurred to me though that when Beckham Jr. was in his prime, he was 5'11, as is Luther Burden III. I find the possibility of Golden to be very enticing though. Not a bad idea, I’m especially fond of Simmons. I would prefer a WR with more height though (Golden is 5'11").
I really like Burden in the second.Talent, and more height (with enough weight) is always better. It has occurred to me though that when Beckham Jr. was in his prime, he was 5'11, as is Luther Burden III. I find the possibility of Golden to be very enticing though.

If Burden even made it to the 2nd Round (let alone he was there when we picked and we actually drafted him), would be exciting in theory.I really like Burden in the second.
I wouldn't say no to either. If we came out of this draft with either one, or Jayden Higgins or Emeka Egbuka, I wouldn't be unhappy. I really like all four. I wonder which WR in this draft will end up being a Jalen Reagor, and which one will end up being closer to Justin Jefferson (taken after Reagor).Golden's 4.3 shot him up the draft boards.
Isaiah Bond was probably the better receiver, similar size, and his 4.4 (which most people who watched Texas would tell you seemed slow), can be had in the 2nd.
I like Golden as a player and think he'll be a good pro, I like Bond better, I think he's more ready to go, and is a better route runner.
We'll see if we get either.
I’ll take that bet. Especially if it’s here and they are doubled all the time because we added no other receivers to the crap we have.At best 700? Ladd Mcconkey just had 1100 yards as a second round rookie. I fully expect a T Mac or Luther to be a 1,000 yard rookie on the right team
You’re right about we do have crap here at WR. It’s a shame some posters here on the forum are actually satisfied with this WR corps for a developing rookie QB. I just want to add talent to this dumpster of a unit. I feel bad for Maye.I’ll take that bet. Aren’t you the guy who was arguing against Kupp because all we need is a rookie? You’re right about we do have crap here at WR. Sounds reasonable, provided the medicals on Simmons are optimistic. But if not Simmons, one of the other LT prospects.Matthew Golden will be the best WR to come out of this class.

Kupp is washed up and only getting slower. Time to retire. I’d sign him but NOT as a number 1. Draft a phenom rookie on a friendly cost controlled dealAren’t you the guy who was arguing against Kupp because all we need is a rookie?
There is literally no-one on the forum that is satisfied with this WR corp. SMHYou’re right about we do have crap here at WR.
