I agree. Drafts are crap shoots. Everything is a projection. There have been 1st pick busts, 2nd, 3rd 4th, etc....There's an expectation at 4 that we're going to get someone amazing. A lot of the time, as has been shown, the 4 pick busts out. Let's just get a solid, blue chip player with a high floor, whether that's Hunter, Campbell, Warren, etc. and I think we'll feel fine as long as they can play.
Things talent evaluators can always bank on are performance against top-tier competition, physical ability, and work ethic. Projecting scheme fit, physical development and thinking the player will mature/conform to a program are risks.
If Hunter is not there at 4 and they draft Campbell, move him to G and he then becomes a 8x All-Pro and future HoF, will the majority of the fan base complain about the pick in 2034?
I sure as hell hope not.
