Azeez Ojulari makes a lot of sense. Jennings is a pure run stuffer, no pass rush. White is better rushing from inside. Laundry’s pass rush grades are poor even though sack total is good. Ojulari fits well for someone pass rush chops off the edge.

Bring Trent Brown back as one year Bridge and Draft J Simmons.
I hate Brown’s work ethic
He is so hot and cold
How about Cornelius Lucas on a 1 year deal
Team Captain to push rest of Line

In theory he would, but that dude's actually hurt all the time. Played 29 games the last 3 years. More than Joey Bosa, but still.

Slayton ≥ Hollins.

Damn. Wanted him too.

Draft one in 3rd or 4th rd for those 10-15 snaps a game

We have two corners who excel in press. More than ever, we could use a solid deep single safety.

Lean on press to help the defensive line. All of it could come together really nicely and Gel to make a great overall unit.

I guess I just miss press man schemes. Not as common these days. Hard to get the right corners and safety IMO. It can get really costly really quickly. That and holding call happy reffs make it even hard for DB’s to run. Press corners are low hanging fruit for refs trying to control the outcome of a game.

I already thought we should draft a FS by round 4-5, but with the signing of Carlson, I think the need just moved up a little.

I just hope they don’t go into the season with Pop Douglas as the #1. That would be horrific. Grab Kupp, draft Hunter or Tet but like someone with some kind of value that Drake Maye can throw to.

With Kupp's age/decline trajectory and Tet's bust potential, I don't think it's a given that they're better than Douglas next year. Hunter seems to have a safe floor as better than Douglas if he's a WR though, but even that's not a given.

Then who is better than Pop Douglas? If not Hunter or Tet or Kupp then who?

My guess is they look to the draft at some point, but McD and the offensive coaches might see some promise in what they have right now if they can have a line that can block for Maye even at a moderate level. They spent some pretty high draft capital on Polk and Baker, might need to see what an offseason can do for them.

According to NFL.com, the best WRs left are Amari Cooper (looked washed up in BUF), Stefon Diggs (coming off ACL injury), Mike Williams (not good last year but was coming off injury and can probably be expected to improve in year 2 back), DeAndre Hopkins. Honestly, I'm not sure any of them will be better than Pop Douglas next year. And that's not an endorsement of Pop lol

Tet and Hunter are uncertain draft prospects so obviously on paper they should be better but I'm just saying it isn't a given. They can bust like any pick can. And Kupp is at an age and injury history where there's a reason he's available. I don't view any of the names mentioned as #1 WRs next year nor locks to be better than Douglas.

Unfortunately, unless they land a draft pick who's an instant hit or someone new comes available via trade, I think #1 WR is going to go unaddressed again this year.

Trade for Aiyuk, or AJ Brown is the way:

Another good thing about some of these signings (especially the Milton Williams deal) is it shows this team is serious about putting together a winning roster. The defense looks pretty good. You can start to pitch players on day 2 that you want to win, you just need a few more solid pieces, etc.

I'm convinced
