I hate Brown’s work ethicBring Trent Brown back as one year Bridge and Draft J Simmons.
In theory he would, but that dude's actually hurt all the time. Played 29 games the last 3 years. More than Joey Bosa, but still.Azeez Ojulari makes a lot of sense. Jennings is a pure run stuffer, no pass rush. White is better rushing from inside. Laundry’s pass rush grades are poor even though sack total is good. Ojulari fits well for someone pass rush chops off the edge.
They were about the same last year.Slayton ≥ Hollins.
And he got A LOT more money. 3/36. What's your point?Slayton ≥ Hollins.
Isaiah Wynn and Dan Skipper are also available.Bring Trent Brown back as one year Bridge and Draft J Simmons.
Draft one in 3rd or 4th rd for those 10-15 snaps a game
With Kupp's age/decline trajectory and Tet's bust potential, I don't think it's a given that they're better than Douglas next year. Hunter seems to have a safe floor as better than Douglas if he's a WR though, but even that's not a given.I just hope they don’t go into the season with Pop Douglas as the #1. That would be horrific. Grab Kupp, draft Hunter or Tet but like someone with some kind of value that Drake Maye can throw to.
Then who is better than Pop Douglas? If not Hunter or Tet or Kupp then who? With Kupp's age/decline trajectory and Tet's bust potential, I don't think it's a given that they're better than Douglas next year. My guess is they look to the draft at some point, but McD and the offensive coaches might see some promise in what they have right now if they can have a line that can block for Maye even at a moderate level. They spent some pretty high draft capital on Polk and Baker, might need to see what an offseason can do for them. Then who is better than Pop Douglas? If not Hunter or Tet or Kupp then who?
According to NFL.com, the best WRs left are Amari Cooper (looked washed up in BUF), Stefon Diggs (coming off ACL injury), Mike Williams (not good last year but was coming off injury and can probably be expected to improve in year 2 back), DeAndre Hopkins. Honestly, I'm not sure any of them will be better than Pop Douglas next year. And that's not an endorsement of Pop lolThen who is better than Pop Douglas? If not Hunter or Tet or Kupp then who?
Trade for Aiyuk, or AJ Brown is the way:According to NFL.com, the best WRs left are Amari Cooper (looked washed up in BUF), Stefon Diggs (coming off ACL injury), Mike Williams (not good last year but was coming off injury and can probably be expected to improve in year 2 back), DeAndre Hopkins. Tet and Hunter are uncertain draft prospects so obviously on paper they should be better but I'm just saying it isn't a given. They can bust like any pick can. And Kupp is at an age and injury history where there's a reason he's available. I don't view any of the names mentioned as #1 WRs next year nor locks to be better than Douglas.
Unfortunately, unless they land a draft pick who's an instant hit or someone new comes available via trade, I think #1 WR is going to go unaddressed again this year.

I'm convincedAnother good thing about some of these signings (especially the Milton Williams deal) is it shows this team is serious about putting together a winning roster. The defense looks pretty good. You can start to pitch players on day 2 that you want to win, you just need a few more solid pieces, etc.
