I haven't been around here in quite a while. Is there still a guy named Miguel who is a salary cap guru here? He used to maintain a page called patscap.com but it seems to be gone. Anyway, anyone know the cap hit of this move?

He's still around for sure. Try Twitter.

He’s a clear upgrade for us. Happy with the signing.

3 yr/43 mil deal with 26 guaranteed, that's not that much and he's only going to be 29 years old. It's essentially a two year deal near what he was making for the Titans with a slight raise for inflation.

Over his last three healthy seasons he has 32 sacks and 43 tackles for a loss. He plays great in contain and rushing the passer. He's a legit pro bowl outside linebacker. That's not an obscene amount of money, pretty reasonable.

Also maybe he can unlock Jennings pass rush, Jennings was pretty good at it in college and hasn't turned on his pass rushing switch as a pro, maybe the vet can teach or inspire him.

They still have to get some big bull DT's who can pressure from inside, otherwise these outside guys won't be nearly as good and will face more double teams.

Landry and Jennings are similar players, both are very stout against the run. I think that Jennings will have a better pass rushing year in this new defense. Especially if he can learn the ghost rush move ala Landry
