He is good at what he does. I just enjoy the Hypocrisy of this forum. The "We want a separator, give us the guy that has never averaged 3 yards of separation in his career. According to next gen statsDK is making too much noise for a one trick pony. DK works well with other he's not the man @ WR for his Team.
I went directly to Pro Football Reference and looked up his career, and concentrated on 22 and 23(his best 2), and went through catches, yds, and tds.

I'm just trying to get an understanding of your reasoning for not liking him is why I posted what I posted... it's never personal brother just trying to make a point.I went directly to Pro Football Reference and looked up his career, and concentrated on 22 and 23(his best 2), and went through catches, yds, and tds.
WHO said any of the Pats WRS had his stats, they are nowhere near top ten.
Don't take it personal, I was just stating facts.
Thanks
Kupp was rocking Bills clothes on social media the other week, so I don’t think we get him unless it’s a Trade.3rd rounder likely does it.. maybe with him being hurt a 4th... kupp I'm definitely on board with... he likely will be released by LAR... could get kupp and Aiyuk.
I hope he doesn't go there... that means gonzo would have to lock him up as opposed to being his teammate..Kupp was rocking Bills clothes on social media the other week, so I don’t think we get him unless it’s a Trade.
Spotrac is wrong. Aiyuk has option bonuses in 2025 and 2026 that are fully guaranteed and become the new team's responsibility. Spotrac lists these at the bottom of the sheet, and notes that they are fully guaranteed, but doesn't calculate them into the dead money. I guess they are "technically" right because the option bonuses don't become guaranteed until April 1st 2025, but the only way to avoid those is to cut him, which isn't going to happen.Spotrac.
The dead cap is 9 million after 2026.

Brandon Aiyuk signed a 4 year, $120,000,000 contract with the San Francisco 49ers, including $23,000,000 signing bonus, $76,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $30,000,000. In 2025, Aiyuk will earn a base salary of $1,170,000, a signing bonus of $22,855,000 and a workout...www.spotrac.com
If he’s free he very well may.I hope he doesn't go there... that means gonzo would have to lock him up as opposed to being his teammate..
I think he's a bit immature from last year's shenanigans, he put his team in a tough situation, then finally came in, and of course started slowly- my guess is because he wasn't in shape (could be wrong, but that early season stuff usually matters).I'm just trying to get an understanding of your reasoning for not liking him is why I posted what I posted... it's never personal brother just trying to make a point.
You made good points. I would imagine Vrabel does a full check on him, his time-line, ect if we did move on him.. right now it's just speculation.. he'd be someone that would help Drake down the line.. we still need someone healthy and ready to go through OTA, Mini-camp and training camp with Drake in the offense. If there's any one who can get anything out of polk and baker it Vrabel.I think he's a bit immature from last year's shenanigans, he put his team in a tough situation, then finally came in, and of course started slowly- my guess is because he wasn't in shape (could be wrong, but that early season stuff usually matters).
His stats are pretty good, but he's making pretty good $, they should be better, and he won't be back to normal for at LEAST 8 games this year, if not the entire year.
I don't hate him or Godwin (both good players), but they both had pretty significant injuries, so anyone that gets them won't get what they remember THIS year.
I'm not opposed to grabbing a veteran WR at all, praying for Stonehands and Dumbass isn't something I really want to do.
The option bonuses are prorated until 2030 and are part or the calculation.Spotrac is wrong. The math makes no sense at all dude. You can see it in the screenshot. How can there only be $9M in dead money when there's still 3 more years of bonus proration at $9.5M per year plus a 4th year of $4.9?The option bonuses are prorated until 2030 and are part or the calculation.
No they’re not. Those option bonuses get accelerated if he’s cut. Sport track is just plain wrong. Additionally, they’re showing it from the 49ers perspective. All of the unamortized option bonuses will go to the Pats as a dead money charge. That would be $33,661,000 if cut after 2026.The option bonuses are prorated until 2030 and are part or the calculation.
In a word "a lot".Can someone explain on simple terms how much would it cost us to cut aiyuk on 2016 if he underperforms. What is the net $ impact to us.
I pulled this from the netI a word "a lot".
There is an interesting angle where, if teams just wait, the 49ers could theoretically end up just cutting Aiyuk in order to avoid triggering his option bonus guarantees on April 1st. They'd take on an extra $7-8M in dead money in 2025, but would save themselves around $50M in future money. So I am sure they are a bit desperate to find a trade partner right now, as that gets them some trade capital instead of just dumping the guy. I didn't really think about it like this before, but since their feet are to the fire here, that might lower his price even further.I pulled this from the net
According to Spotrac, Aiyuk has two big option bonuses ($22.85 million and $24.93 million) that both become fully guaranteed on April 1. They would actually lose more than $7.5 million in cap space by trading him before April 1 (or June 1), but the cash payouts would be saved.
Which means it's 2 years of guaranteed total of 47 million$ for a player whom you are not too sure if he is still the same and will probably miss few games this year.
Pretty much every WR we could plausibly get comes with a lot of risks and (if there's any potential) a big price tag. It's the risk you take with WRs.I pulled this from the net

Right, but there's also the risk that Aiyuk wouldn't come here as a free agent. A trade forces him and he's on a contract we would have beaten if he had come here as a free agent last year. There is an interesting angle where, if teams just wait, the 49ers could theoretically end up just cutting Aiyuk in order to avoid triggering his option bonus guarantees on April 1st.
