Brandon Aiyuk again?

I have my hopes on Elijah Moore in FA he is 25 years old, every year in the league he has average 3+ yds of separation. He can play inside and outside similar to Zay Flowers. I think he would cook with McDs offense, the biggest problem is that he is not a good blocker.
Interesting player Hmmmmm.

Just looked at Aiyulk’s contract. It’s actually very appealing. It’s basically a two year deal now with an out in 2027. Cap hits for the two years are 11 million and 16 million. Cash payout is 25 million each year. They can then cut him with small dead cap hit. If he’s worth keeping at that point, they can restructure to spread the remaining cap hits. The niners paid his signing bonus already so the contract is very easy for the pats to absorb. For a late 3rd or 4th round pick, this is a no brainer. Even coming off the injury he’d be by far our best receiver.
I'm not sure what you are looking at... That's not what I see at all

2025 cap hit: around $6M
2026 cap hit: around $12M
2027 dead money when cut: $33M

Ross can you stop going so far in the future... I want 25 and 26 to sink in.

See.. I believe he is... when healthy top 30? Even if he is top 30 our WRs still aren't there. We'll top 20... to be honest.. he would be a guy that DC have to account for.. right now CBs are bored against our current group.
I don't want to spend the capital it would take to get him, never mind pay him. Buildup the offensive line, give Maye some time and let's see what this receiving core looks like with an add such as Kupp etc. Then put some tape out there for next offseason and see if you can snag a high profile guy.

My word, this guy is a fkn disaster.
I'm all set on his overated ass that'll cost a fortune.
I didn't say he's worse than Polk and Baker, but he and Godwin will probably be doing well to breach 600yds this year with the broken **** they'll be trotting out there...all for 20+ !
I have a rule, if I can't read what you type imma hell naw

It's not a big deal, the bigger dead money in 2027 is more like deferring the payments for 2025 and 2026 to keep the cap hits low. They are effectively paying him around $50M for two years, or $25M per year, which is probably less than they were willing to pay last year.

Besides, if he ends up playing well then they are going to try to restructure and extend him after 2026 so none of this will matter anyway.

Here is the thing, coming off the injury and San Fran willing to trade him essentially 2 years in a row.

I’m concerned.
Aiyuk earned the Contract because he was very good before the Injury. Also like I said earlier: the 49ers can find WR's that fit effortlessly. They don't have our Problems in that area. Ricky Pearsall thank God he's alive looks like a good one.

Ridley's a knucklehead but he puts up #'s. Ai-yuck? Better hope he's healthy. Ask yourself, why are the 49ers shopping a 26 year old WR? They just shipped out Deebo. Now this kid too? Why?

And they don't have much with Purdy needing his

Viper,

We probably will get some mid-tier WRs in FA.. but Ayuik is a top 10 WR in the game. If we traded for him that solves the problem. We have great 3s and 4s.. we probably have the best 3s and 4s in the NFL.. just my thoughts..

Where is a HEALTHY Aiyuk(which he isn't) rated a top 10 WR? In 2023 he ranked 7th in yds with 1342, other than that 1 outlier, he's not been close to that in yds, and not top 10 in TDS either.
He allowed himself to be late last year, and it showed in his performance until he blew out his knee.
I seriously doubt he is going to earn his paycheck this year.
JMHO

Spotrac.
The dead cap is 9 million after 2026.

I agree with you, everyone clamore for a WR that can separate and then want Metcalf who is not a good separator
DK is making too much noise for a one trick pony. DK works well with other he's not the man @ WR for his Team.

This was a shocking turn of events, and every second counted. The Brandon Aiyuk contract saga had dragged on throughout the offseason and hijacked the 49ers’ summer, and Shanahan, Lynch and York had collectively decided to move on and cut their losses. Yet Aiyuk, who throughout the process had demonstrated emotional immaturity and changed his mind more sharply than he changed directions on the football field, showed up in Shanahan’s office that morning — 11 days before the Niners’ season opener — and expressed a sudden willingness to accept the team’s last, best offer.

More immaturity here:

That was so last year Bro.

3rd rounder likely does it.. maybe with him being hurt a 4th... kupp I'm definitely on board with... he likely will be released by LAR... could get kupp and Aiyuk.
