he would be good if on the cheap but he is 29 and coming back from injuries. we just recent got rid of a DE only a bit older that hit the wall

At the right price, let's get him. We need talent, he's got boat loads of it.

he could take less money and join his brother

Always hurt.

He has missed 23 games the last 3 seasons and has not completed a full season since 2019. This draft is rumored to be deep in DL which makes sense to bail on Bosa.

You beat me too it. Always hurt as is his brother. I doubt he will come cheap.

There are no waivers... Once the release is official Bosa is a free agent
And he'll have his agent on the phone with Roseman... boy do I miss the good Ole days...

We need a psychological study into what makes trading for vastly overpaid players so appealing to fans
No need

2023.........4-13
2024.........4-13

He is very unavailable much of the time. Mucho dollars for little production.

We have desperate need for help at every position except for QB. No one should be totally written off for consideration. This isn't the profile of player I'd target though. I'm looking for reliability over upside. The injury prone guy who could get back to an all pro level if you keep him healthy just doesn't do it for me right now because what I really want is respectability across the board so we don't have to play guys out of position and can put them in good development spots.

Like at the EDGE spot here with Bosa for example, I'd like to play Keion White inside more as I think that's where he's best suited. But if we don't address EDGE then we have to keep playing him there out of need. If you sign Bosa, in theory that frees him up, but if/when he's out injured like usual you're right back to having a need for White on the EDGE again. I'd rather stock up on guys with less upside that I can depend on being available, even understanding that injuries can happen to anyone but some guys are riskier than others.

Obviously at a certain price point everyone makes sense, but if guys like this see their market dip to that price point then they usually take it with a contender.

I think Ian needs to create a "Sign The Beast" thread prefix, in addition to the current all-encompassing "NFL News" thread prefix.

Then again, that may clutter up the entire main forum during every offseason.

Just like I was watching NBC sports Boston felger and Holley were all up in arms about us not moving on Thuney...
Vrabel knows what he's doing... this isn't last years regime.
