I agree. I don't think it is a "fall". QBs are always first. It will be no different this year. Ward, Sanders, and Carter then Hunter.im sure he will fall to us…
The counterpoint is if he's the dynamic athlete that has been portrayed, he will get more opportunities to make plays on offense as a WR... ie he will touch the ball more.I would probably lose complete faith in the GM and scouting department. If you want to max his value out, he needs to be a full time CB with some gadget routes on offense. If he’s a pure wideout, he simply cannot be on defense. He’s not going to be able to learn defensive schemes and assignments on a part time basis, and we aren’t going to sub in a CB who doesn’t practice the position full time on critical downs after he’s been running routes all day,
That’s the smaller component to the problem. The bigger one is that he’s by consensus a better CB, he’s being universally graded as a CB and he’s entering the combine as a CB. Idk why you would draft someone that high and not put him in the best position possible to succeed. It comes off of “we are desperate and doing this for need”
No, absolutely not. Let somebody else be the first to deal with a Neon Deion coached player. Wherever we end up in the first round, we need trench warriors. OL or DL, we're lacking.

He’s not and most boards don’t even bother to rank him as such. There’s way more money in WR and he’s entering the combine as a CB. That should speak volumes. He’s the consensus #1 WR in this draft, playing the best receiver in the country at WR isn’t a waste of his talent.

It doesn't speak volumes. You are reading way too much into the fact that he is listed as a CB at the combine. That is not a reflection of how teams view him. He’s not and most boards don’t even bother to rank him as such. There’s way more money in WR and he’s entering the combine as a CB.
