Agreed. I'd say KB was still coming off the ACL and we know that takes a player at least a season to really recover with today's medical advancements even. I'll say KB had the best production of his career under McDaniels. He would be the main guy who could thrive. Slayton would give us an outside threat. He would be a piece on offense.

It's hard not to like Bourne as a team guy & presence in 'the room' but at @ $8M AAV each of the next two years I suspect there's a better than fair chance he's gone

You could be right.. but on the other hand he's a team leader well respected and ownership loves him. He just got an extension so unless his game really slows down I believe he's here.. he's not making ridiculous money.

Okay... I'll bite. Why was I quoted on that?
Any idea what Polk did to his arm? A dislocation from patting himself on the back?
We were on the subject of WRs so I just saw the link and wanted to post something in regards to a young highly drafted WR with untapped potential. I knew there had to be something going on with polk.. he's just a far better player than what he showed. Confidence is something you want our of he and baker.. I have no problem at all about them talking as it's what makes them as players. So under REAL coaching this season let's see if they develop.

I would be more than happy to see them contribute. The investment in draft capital was made, sure would be nice to see something out of it. I'm just not holding my breath

That's what I'm saying but we have to hit in FA and the Draft. It would be nice if the rest of our 24 Draft can contribute ie... Polk - Wallace and Baker.
I haven’t given up on them yet with our new coaching staff.

They can wipe last season out of their minds and convince themselves their poor performance wasn’t all their fault.

It is true and is a better mindset to enter the season with either way, and maybe a little humility could help, particularly in Baker’s case.

It would be better if Downing actually had coached WRs before, but there are so many quality offensive coaches now to pitch in.

Brown is the passing game coordinator and has a great reputation.

Godwin will be substantially cheaper. Slayton has been a good receiver on a terrible team with a terrible QB. Brown is a free agent.

Higgins isn’t a #1, moreover he has never stayed healthy… no need to pay a Rolls Royce price for a Honda.

It Godwin is significantly cheaper, odds are the Bucs will re-sign him.

Why do we say Higgins isn't a true #1? He has produced like one with and without Chase. What more does a guy need to prove?

Injury concerns are one thing, but the guy produces. He may not be top 10 in this league, but he it definitely top 20. That puts you in #1 territory

Barely topping 1000 yards… is that #1 production when actual #1’s are nearly doubling that?

Last year he was...

31st in receiving yards
30th in catches
9th in catches per game
10th in yards per game
30th in targets
8th in TDs
21st in 1st downs

When he plays does he produce like a #1? The numbers say so. He might be drawing the CB2 but Chase is still getting his stats. I've seen enough of Higgins to say he is an elite talent.

The problem is Higgins misses 25% of the games. A "#1" is dependable. He is not.

I'm all for paying Higgins big money as long as he stays on the field and puts up the numbers...which is what a true #1 does.
