I agree, the season was so fun to watch. I'm proud of their accomplishments that season. Nobody would have beat the Bears. My dad worked for the Telegram and Gazette in Worcester and went to the Miami/Pats AFC championship game that season. I wished I was able to go (He got both of us opening game World series tickets in 75 also which was awesome!) I was 15 and on the T&G bowling team with some of the sports writers.

Bill Burr was just on games with names and made a pretty compelling case for Marino's Dolphins. They gave them their loss that year and their 46 defense was not built for Marino's passing game. But of course we stopped that lol. Suck it Shula we ended your last chance.

Perspective: Mahomes turns 30 in September and he has to go 4-1 in Superbowls over the next 10-15 years just to tie Brady and he'd still have to discuss the head to head playoffs record.

Mahomes style won't age well. This is one he really needed. As other have pointed out he is already not quite as good as he was, and it isn't just that his offensive talent has declined. That is most of the reason their offense isn't as good, but part is also Mahomes. Right now we are seeing 98-95% Mahomes. Still incredible, but more and more cracks are visible.

And not that I am hoping for it, but he has not suffered any major injuries yet. Odds are he will. How will he look coming back from an ACL or elbow injury?

Full in denial going on over there at CP right now. The page was in a full melt down for the first 2 hours after the game. Then it went real quiet all of the sudden. Most likely, the majority of the fan base probably smoked a bowl of meth and went off to bed with their sibling to help each other forget about this historic beatdown. Typical KC fan stuff.

Reminded me a bit of the Pats depantsing the Steelers 41-27 in the 04 AFC championship game. That game like this one was an ass whooping. Garbage time made it look closer than it was

The Chiefs are in 2009 pats territory. They’ll need to knock it out of the park drafting late in the first round. The bills roster is even worse. The pats can close the gap significantly with the AFC contenders IMO.

I decided to take a look yesterday at what the "experts" at NFL.com were predicting for the SB. There were 21 predictions. How many of those 21 "experts" picked Philly and who was the closest to the exact score?

The answer is that not a single "expert" of the 21 picked Philly and the closest was the "expert" who predicted the highest scoring KC win.

Yeah but the NFL is the only sport in which you can make a leap from worst at first in a single season.

No other sport can do that.

Not that I'm saying that that can happen or is going to happen here but it's the one sport where a whole roster can be made over and a single off season

If you have a good core of players you can do that. The Pats have exactly one great player in Gonzo and a guy with a lot of potential who hasn't put it together yet in Maye. That's it.

The AFC is weak as ****.

The Patriots won't be making that leap this year but they could be making it next year.

I didn’t think that was a choke, I thought Philly’s lines dominated on both sides of the ball.
