The league really ****ed themselves with this one. They helped a team win 6-8 regular season games that were toe to toe, most in prime time. Bringing a ton of exposure early to the “favoritism” issue. Essentially they put all their eggs in ones basket, and helped a clearly over the hill team through the playoffs to the point where they pretty much had even the most toe the line media pundits and league players talking about how they’ve been helping the chiefs to a point where it’s no longer debatable.
Then it plays out where your overrated golden boy whom really had no position winning like he has for the past two season, blows it so bad it’s just too big to rig. Anyone whom has paid attention, perfectly understands what just happened, and why it happened the way it did!
To make matters worse, the only thing trending right now is people debating whether it was the worse halftime show ever, or top 3. This was a terrible game for the league whatever angle you look at it from. Just maybe this will be the criticism that’s needed for a vote of no confidence from the owners in regards to Goodell.
Today was a good day. As the game played out, I could only envision a big grinned Brady in the booth, just biting his lip soaking all the glory of being the clear goat in.
Now on too FA and the draft. So long 2024
