2025 RT

I would definitely use FA to sort out the o line. Trapillo seems like a nice project at LT, but we need someone who can play right now.
I love Milum as a LG and if he is there at the end of the first i wouldnt mind to try and move up to get him but he isnt a LT.

Ozzy Trapilo Day 2 ?? He's ranked 32nd at the position on one site.
Which site? Dane Bugler and Daniel Jeremiah don't have him top 50 and PFF have him ranked at 60 so day 2 seems reasonable to me.

@manxman2601 what are those numbers??
Penalties. It’s from PFF. I call BS on these numbers since I know Campbell had 4 this past season and not 9, and all 4 were minor penalties.

PFF kind of sucks TBH

Actually Membou is excellent too!! HAHA.

Mbow, Membou and Conerly are the 3 guys who can get to the edge and prevent outside pass rushers from getting to Maye.

I have much less faith in Ersery, Emery Jones, Milum, or Cameron Williams.

Milum is clunky and a little uncoordinated. Emery offers less in all aspects. Ersery is really good in the running game but he's a bit of a lug against the pass rush.

Cameron Williams is the most interesting one after the top 6 guys. He has the potential to be one of the best tackles in this draft. But he's just like Dawand Jones or Trent Brown. He has the potential to be way way overweight. He is down from 370 pounds in one year to his current playing weight of 335. Who has faith that he's not going to balloon again?
I can’t get past the sight of Connerly getting absolutely thrown on his ass at the Senior Bowl by a dude no one has even heard of.

Imagine him trying to block a starting level NFL pass rusher? Oof.

What!! Mike Green was a first rounded graded prospect before the Senior Bowl started. Abdul Carter had 66 total pressures last season, Mike Green had 63.

That’s on me then. Literally never heard of Green. But haven’t started my draft research yet and I admit to SEC/Big 10 bias

So... a guy has been playing football for a very long time, and loses leverage on one play. He's done!

If you watch the B1G then you know Conerly is excellent, right?

The thing with that play is that Conerly had just been switched to RT just before so he still had to adjust to the change in footwork. It was a great play by Green but we shouldn't be laying too much blame on Conerly despite how terrible it looked.

If Ronnie Stanley hits FA I’m doing whatever it takes to sign him as our LT for the next 2 years. That would hopefully give us some time to develop one of these 2nd tier OT’s on the right side before swapping them to LT in 2027 (in a perfect world).

The two OL I would love to target would be Aireontae Ersery in the late 1st and Anthony Belton in the 3rd/4th. Ersery would be the RT and Belton the LG for the next two seasons before Ersery goes to LT and Belton to RT. Obviously injuries and performance could play a major factor in all of this but this is the type of succession planning I would look to put in place. Both a short term and long term view of the OL situation.

Logan Brown out of Kansas has elite physical characteristics. Would be a plugnplay RT? Much higher ceiling than Caedan Wallace but a guy that could be taken a round later?

I think he's got the build, length and athleticism to be a LT. His type-1 diabetes is the concern; I don't know how that would affect him.

Look no further than Missouri’s stalwart RT.

Pray Armand Membou is still available at the end of the first round so the Patriots would have the wherewithal to nab him. Two third-rounders.

Counting on Caedan Wallace there is not sound policy. Shoring up the OT position is the top need for the franchise

The weakest starter not just on the Patriots but perhaps in the entire league was Demontrey Jacobs. He was even worse than Ben Brown.
Oh look there is a RT Prospect thread.

We should just rename it the the Membou Thread lol

I know. I had completely forgotten about it and only noticed it earlier today.

My daughter and granddaughter have Type1 diabetes
They have monitors and insulin pumps now that get inserted in your arm or stomach.
They keep your blood sugars in great range
During a game or practice you can just insert the monitor which gives you constant monitoring of your Blood sugars
They are small and not very noticeable
If your sugars get low you just treat it with juice and crackers
Justin Field has diabetes
So did Vince Wilfork

Thank you for that.

If we get Stanley, I think Membou becomes a real possibility at 4....."oh, that is too high for a RT".....well it is a bad draft...."no one does that!" .... Know who did that, everyone's darlings the SB champion Eagles, Lane Johnson at #4 overall in '13.

'13 was one of the worst first rounds ever, much like this one - although it looks to be better than '13.
