Can you imagine? There's a rumor about OSU Chip Kelly as the NE OC.
Vrabel went to OSU.
Anything that was an organizational decision in the last year is clearly suspect, because I never witnessed anything organized about it.Sure Maye can learn it. How many rookie QBs learn a new system in their 2nd year and are successful?
It was an organizational decision to go to WC- not AVPs.
what pick do you think that he would offer MIA?Vrabel in action, I’m sure he’s trying to find a way to poach Crow from Miami to coach the linebackers as well
BakestradamusWow just call me Nostradamus!!
Well they had a whole regime change and if Vrabel wants to change things up, he’s going to do it. Is it ideal he has to learn a new system? No. Is it the end of the world? No. A huge plus to McDaniels being the guy is the guy isn’t going anywhere, so Maye will have plenty of time to learn the system. He’s a pup, he will be fine.Sure Maye can learn it. No pick. Convince McDaniel he needs to let him go, or change his title to like assistant head coach or somethingwhat pick do you think that he would offer MIA?
I don’t see the big deal. It’s Drake’s second season, are they really supposed to stick with the system that their 11th choice in OC in 2024 provided for the rest of his career? And if you’re worried he can’t learn it, then maybe he’s not the guy.
aren't you offering him a lateral? If so, MIA can just keep him.No pick. Convince McDaniel he needs to let him go, or change his title to like assistant head coach or something
Agree but they implemented a widely accepted offensive system.Anything that was an organizational decision in the last year is clearly suspect, because I never witnessed anything organized about it.
It slows him down and puts a 2nd year jump into a big question mark.Well they had a whole regime change and if Vrabel wants to change things up, he’s going to do it. Change to his title would do that.aren't you offering him a lateral? If so, MIA can just keep him.
The Rams were eliminated on Sunday, had to fly back from Philly in a snow storm, and yesterday was a holiday. I am guessing if either Caley or Ragone are going to interview, it won't be until at least the end of the week.
Where is McDaniels possibly going to leave? He’s flamed out as a HC twice, this is his ceiling. These young buck coaches are much more likely to leave. Look what’s happening to Baker Mayfield in Tampa. It has nothing to do with “ not being able to learn it,” and everything to do with changing systems on him repeatedly, which they will have to do when MacDaniels leaves because next to no one else runs that ****ty dinasaur system anymore. It also has to do with WR’s never being on the same page with the QB because it’s too goddamn complicated for them.
Wasn’t McDaniel already fired? No pick. Convince McDaniel he needs to let him go, or change his title to like assistant head coach or something
Personally I like the idea of running a scheme that is not the same as what most other teams run these days. It forces defenses to have to spend more time game planning for what you do. Josh has also shown an ability to adapt and change what his offense does week-to-week which was something Vrabel said he wants to emphasize. Additionally, I think this lets the team get some extra value in targeting types of players that might be less ideal fits in the common West Coast schemes. Finally, Josh's offense has an ability to reach a higher ceiling if the QB has the mental capability, which I think Drake has - and also can squeeze production out of less talented WRs if they have the IQ. That said - year 1 would be fairly vanilla, so I don't think we'd see all of that come to fruition right away.
