Polk was considered by many a steal of the draft. And was Polk's failure due to him or the fact he was never prepared properly by the staff or both? We will find out this year.
Steal... by who?

He was arguably the third best WR on Washington State, nobody thought he was a steal except Patriot brass... and it was a terrible evaluation.

Vrabel is a WCO guy. Stop putting it on Jonathan. Vrabel will likely pick an OC from an WCO system not because Jonathan Kraft wants it, but Mike Vrabel wants it. Vrabel has always ran a WCO in the NFL as a head coach.

Bert Breer says Vrabel likes it because it is easy for the players to execute, it is fast, and it wears down defenses.

I actually think if it was up to the Krafts, they would welcome McDaniels back.
That's why I said hire a WCO guy, don't go switching back now.

Richard Simmons would be an upgrade over Brother Mayo.
I actually kinda laugh at how bad the injury situation was in context. Mayo preached all offseason about how important conditioning was and how that would be a huge focus of his, and then he promoted his brother to lead the strength & conditioning staff. Their motto in week 1 "take them to the hill" was about how they had such good conditioning and were in better shape than the Bengals....... then the season went on and they ended up being one of the most injured teams in the league. Oops...

Peters wasn't the best but he also wasn't the worst. He was "fine". He definitely wasn't dealt any favors with the poor players and rotating door of injuries. I hope he finds better success in CIN, he seemed like a good dude.
I was a fan of that hire.

Guessing We are recreating the Titans staff here.
So the o line coach the Jets hated then?

Many experts loved the Polk pick. I am not giving up on him until we see him under the new regime.

Last year was a dumpster fire where even guys like Pop Douglas regressed (statistically, he was better because he was thrown to more, but if you watched him he was less effective). Only Boutte played better than he did the year before. All the other receivers regressed. Osborn went from a pretty good #3 WR in Minnesota to a complete waste in New England. So we saw regression from most of the veteran WRs, it is safe to assume that the coaching played a role.

I thought Polk had potential, but was a reach in the second round. We'll see if Vrabel and co can salvage anything from him. Once a young player, especially a WR, loses confidence it's hard to reclaim. I agree it was hard for anyone to look good with no blocking. We'll see if they can fix that first.

This is why I am not ready to dump Wolf. Looks like he spent the last year expanding the football operation department and modernizing their scouting system. This was something desperately needed under Belichick which he refused to do. Wolf did free agency and the draft last year with the tools Belichick left him. Now maybe we will get vastly better results this offseason now that the football operations is starting play on a level playing field with the rest of the league.

If Wolf fails this year, he definitely needs to be gone. But maybe he will turn things around. He is well respected around the league. He did do well in Green Bay.

No, and No..

The biggest problem after Brady and lacking quality wr was that the decision the wr make to adjust their route depending on how they read the coverage required the qb to read the coverage the same way. This has failed much more than it worked and I don’t see that working with the current room of wr either and it would put a lot of pressure on young Drake maye

Right on the money.

Who do we like for OC?
Lafluer, Caley?
Kubiak?
We should get a big name for sure,
