Yes. I guess there's a report put there involving J. Brown moving him to Houston.. I hope not. But as you perfectly said they are about to be hit with a huge luxury tax. They extended all thier key players. So if it continues this way say for the next 3 weeks of the season I can definitely see someone being moved.. as you mentioned they can't add anyone they have to definitely be creative with a trade.I don’t know the exact amount but the C’s would have had to pay about 5x Walker’s salary in luxury tax or whatever they call it nowadays. It wasn’t due to talent he was released.
Not exactly sure why he was invited to camp in the first place.
The C’s are almost impossible to add anyone at the deadline as well. This is the team that will sink or swim unless a blockbuster trade is made.
That said, xfinity took away my nbcsports channel so I’ll be detoxing for a while not seeing them play.
He's asking them to play D hard and they aren'tHow so?
I like what Scal had to say today. He's asking them to play D are hard and they aren't
I read that as well. Agree completely.I like what Scal had to say today.
I'm paraphrasing but he bascally said maybe it's time to play the guys who are playing the hardest. Among starters KP has been playing hard. DW also but not shooting well. JT,JB and JH seem to be on cruise control a lot.
PP, Big Al, Kornet, Hauser always play hard.
Lack of offensive rebounding and defensive intensity are the main things missing. And most of us know those 2 things are mostly about hard work.
Maybe time to sit some of the stars asses down. Then play the guys the most minutes who are playing the hardest.
There is a young player who's plays his ass off and is a lock down perimeter defender I think his name is springer..he plays in mop up duty.. but any time he's on the court he's tenacious defensely and is s tough player at the G spot.. it may be time Joe tries to inject him in the rotation..I like what Scal had to say today.

Yep Springer gives all-out effort every time. Great defender. He's limited offensively so he needs to be with the right group on the floor. But yeah, give him so more run. Same with Walsh, a great defender but also has improved offensively. You'll never worry about lack of effort with those 2.There is a young player who's plays his ass off and is a lock down perimeter defender I think his name is springer..he plays in mop up duty.. but any time he's on the court he's tenacious defensely and is s tough player at the G spot.. it may be time Joe tries to inject him in the rotation..
Agreed .. on everything. I think Joe ans the coaching staff have done a masterful job with management of the guys. They started have only played 14 games all together. But as your perfectly said the wear n tear on the guys. Go figure JB&JT have been in the post season thier entire careers! That's just amazing! I do like Walsh he's a tenacious on ball defender. He was in the rotation earlier in the season not sure what happened.. I can guarantee you if Walsh and springer got more time in the rotation the perimeter defense would vastly improve.Yep Springer gives all-out effort every time. Great defender. Look, The 2 Jays are the 2 biggest reasons C's are Champs. And unlike a lot of superstars, they're both great defenders. Add in the extra wear and tear of the Finals PLUS the Olympics and you can argue that very few players in NBA history have had longer or harder seasons than Tatum,White,Holliday and Brown. I throw JB in there although he wasn't on Team USA he was an absolute Dawg in the postseason and then maniacal offseason with ridiculous workouts like lifting while underwater.
So if any players ever deserved some slack, it's those 4.
That being said, sometimes even star players who play both ends of the court need a little tweaking about effort.
What should be going on is Joe reducing all 4 of those guys minutes due to the wear and tear of all they've done over the last year. Give them rest in that way. Just fewer minutes every game. But when they're on the court, don't tolerate any slacking. If they do, yank em.
Gotcha. Just wasn’t sure if there was something specific. He's asking them to play D are hard and they aren't
This is what happens when you don't/can't bring in new blood. Got a bad feeling about this team now. Something is way off.Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Absolutely brutal loss, maybe the worst this season. Bad play from Holiday and Queta at the end of regulation/OT.
This feels like a 2018-team type of loss. This is what happens when you don't/can't bring in new blood. Got a bad feeling about this team now. Something is way off.
I forgot about that one somehow in the midst of a string of terrible basketball plays. What the **** was Jrue doing? First that absurdly bad pass then fouling Young with no fouls to give. The guy is there to be a smart, clutch, situational veteran type of player. His contract pays him like a bubble all star, so this is expected. Pretty annoyed that he basically threw away that game even though there’s plenty of blame all around.
Once again KP not in the line up what's new.. he plays we win.. Atlanta, Cleveland, magic are all teams right now that are problems for in the conference. They have size, speed and athletic ability that gives us problems.. aren't we 4th in the conference now?Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Absolutely brutal loss, maybe the worst this season. Bad play from Holiday and Queta at the end of regulation/OT.
Queta should have been pulled after he lost a jump ball to Trae Young. Proceeded to wander out to the perimeter twice defensively which cost us and then failed to rebound a free throw. Ugh. Kornet should have been playing.
We’re still second. But it feels worse.Once again KP not in the line up what's new.. he plays we win.. Atlanta, Cleveland, magic are all teams right now that are problems for in the conference. They have size, speed and athletic ability that gives us problems.. aren't we 4th in the conference now?
Ok. Thanks for that.. it does feel worse.. we are going to have to adjust to what the league is.. young, athletic players with size at the wing position is what the league is about. We’re still second. But it feels worse.
This was on Mazzula more than anything. Or should I specifically refer to their allegiance to analytics. I'm sure Felger is dying to rant about it Monday lol because they had a 3pt lead with seconds left. They decide to foul and it backfires big time.Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
