I think age is catching up with them. They went deep into the playoffs last few seasons.. father time is starting to show.

Tatum has been deep in the playoffs his entire 8 year career.. even though he's still in his 20s his body has been through alot. Yes holiday and white look a step slower.. I've been saying for months we need to add depth to our bench and front court.. KP is a matter of time before he goes down again. The defensive intensity is lacking big time.

Thst was a foolish move on their part. Guys a automatic 10-15 points off the bench at the wing position. Jrue and DWhite great players but are starting to look older.. the younger athletic teams give us problems.. Brad is going to have to tweak some things in order to reapeat. We keep on this way we end up a 4th seed.

Lonnie Walker is playing in the Lithuanian/Euro league & only averaging 9.7 pts/game, so he's not lighting that league on fire. He has a buyout clause that's in effect until 2/18. I would think that he'd jump on a plane and be here pretty quickly if someone signed him. However, I did just find an article that says that he had to miss a game and didn't play much in their last game because of a knee injury, so bringing him in now might not be the best thing.

Yes I did see he was playing over seas. Thanks for this info. I had hopes for Lonnie.. he can score in bunches.. we have Pritchard who's been consistent off the bench all season, hauser is a sharp shooter and solid rebounding Forward. We lack that slasher at the SG/F position off the bench that can defen and make buckets.. the Cs are having trouble on defense.. if it's one thing I miss most about Ime it's his defensive intensity as a HC.. there needs to be some "tweaks " to the roster.. Brad I'm sure Will make a trade by the deadline for some one.

DW either has a nagging injury or has lost his confidence.

Let me ask you guys something though: in January would you rather be 28-12 but playing low level basketball, or be 34-6 but have lost a major player to season ending injury?

Celtics have plenty of time to get their act together. Health remains the key, not performance level.

I don’t know the exact amount but the C’s would have had to pay about 5x Walker’s salary in luxury tax or whatever they call it nowadays. It wasn’t due to talent he was released.
Not exactly sure why he was invited to camp in the first place.
The C’s are almost impossible to add anyone at the deadline as well. This is the team that will sink or swim unless a blockbuster trade is made.
That said, xfinity took away my nbcsports channel so I’ll be detoxing for a while not seeing them play.

C's are in a funk.
Sometimes I like to groove to some funk.
Not this kind.
Been hard to watch em lately.
But they haven't even played half a season. The NBA season is a tough grind. Tougher than the NFL. You can't play all out all regular season. There's times you gotta coast a little bit. But you gotta pick your spots.
The Western road trip was encouraging, went 3-1 vs. 4 if the best teams in the league.
But yeah, the last couple were ugly especially Toronto.
As some have pointed out, the defensive intensity has been lacking.
Tough game tomorrow, Banchero just came back and he's ballin' as usual.
I love this kid's game.
Another long road trip looming.
C's are better than this. No need to freak out but I agree it's concerning.

The fact that this C’s team isn’t blowing out teams by 30, 40 or even 50 points, like they did over dozen times last year, says this team isn’t the same team. The reasons are likely several. It’s certainly not just one thing we can point to.

Cs don't look like a championship team right now. They are losing to inferior opponents.. teams like Toronto and Orlando with size give them issues. I don't see any defensive intensity.

DWhite is going to be okay. He is in a brutal shooting slump primarily. I’m more concerned about Jrue and the extension they gave him.

I am not impressed with the way they are playing this year. The Pelicans game really showed their biggest issue when they kept heaving up 3's with no one underneath to rebound. KP loves to take the 3, so he is out there too, which only exacerbates the issue. Funny that when Kornet is out there, the same Kornet who lead his college team in 3's & hit a bunch when he was with the Knicks, he's told to hand the ball off and get his ass under the hoop to rebound. KP should be under the hoop more on offense & not just to post up. Of course, even when he posts up, no one seems to go under the hoop, instead staying out at the perimeter in case KP has to kick it out.

Defense is off but the lack of offensive rebounding is going to kill them. In the Pelicans game, this same lack of offensive rebounding also allowed the Pelicans to run on them, with the Pelicans at one point outscoring the Celts something like 20-0 on fast break points.
