100% this. If they hire McDaniels, which i am completely fine with, i want him learning mandarin not Drake Maye. Run your offense, its worked plenty of the time, but translate it into whatever Maye knows. I want him working on footwork, throwing motion, ect not learning a new language.

That will never happen. I don’t know of one case where an offensive coordinator changed their offensive system. Their system is their system, the players have to adapt to it, not the coordinator,

If anyone has heard of an offensive coordinator changing systems feel free to say otherwise, but imo the idea that MacDaniels would change from EP to West Coast is a fantasy.

Erhardt and Perkins ran a different offense prior to creating the Erhardt Perkins system. LMAO

I know what you meant and I do not know of any.

Huh? Not exactly a dazzling offense to highlight.

My point was McDaniels dramatically adapted his offense to Cam.

That the results were not dazzling had a lot to do with the then state of the team and the fact that Cam was a shell of his former self.

If Brown and Brady were simply Rooney Rule interviews, and McDaniels has been “the guy” the whole time, then yeah they could announce him tomorrow like they announced Vrabel last Sunday.

McDaniels has been touted as being the top choice by a lot of connected guys pretty much throughout.

At this point it's going to be surprising if the choice for OC isn't McDaniels

Days apart they interviewed Brown and Brady
I just don’t see either of them getting the job
My guess is something is going to get announced soon
McDaniels seems like the obvious choice
They have been really quiet
But they have inside channels to Josh and he knows to stay silent

What if the guys you want are still in the play offs? The idea that Vrabel hadn’t given this thought is absurd.

Yeah, can't help but think Vrabel had pretty much a full staff penciled in. Figure what he's doing now is a combination of wanting to hear some different voices and giving a candidate a puncher's chance to blow him away
