TRADE FOR A WR

For JMIII?
U make an interesting point there one... I'd have to say.... no.. hear me out.. Drake has already sustained some concussions.. his playing style McDaniels will have to tweak to protect himself.. so I'd want to hold on to bazooka Joe..

Deebo hasn't been a great receiver since 2021. He has had good years and is obviously a running threat, but he is living off the reputation of 2021.
I'd take him as a piece in the offense not a primary option.. say we get DK Metcalf, Deebo.. now we are on to something as an offense.

I understand but Vrabel and McDaniels have to get to Maye. We need Wilson. Imagine Henry, Hopper, Wilson, Douglas, and Hunter. Boutte as a sub. That would change things.

Your very convincing I must say... ok d%#*!@t I'm sold .. Wilson is just Phenomenal.. guys got some of best hands in the league... let me ask what would think about DK, Deebo and Devante?

I think the Jets would be open to trading Adams to us if they don't cut him. His salary alone the next two years is 70M. Obviously, we would need to rework his deal.....but I think he could be had for extremely cheap...

Because the FA road has worked beautifully.

Osborn, Agahlor, Parker (Carter), Bourne,
Osborn and Bourne are solid possession receivers, nothing amazing but consistent good players. Randy Moss didn't do crap on the Raiders, Stephon Gilmore had a bad PFF player grade on Buffalo. It's a team sport, players don't perform in a vacuum, they need the team to be good. On a better team players like Bourne and Osborn contribute. It's not surprising that Jonnu and Agholor left Mac Jones and went back to being productive role players.

WR's are the last thing a team on the rise should add, because if you can't do the other stuff correctly (blocking, scheming, running, passing) diva WR's are going to make a stink and become a locker room cancer.

Osborn and Bourne are JAGs.

The Pats have a slew of JAGs at WR. Guys that are all the same. Douglas is nothing special.

SBB.. since my theory of trading for a WR.. ( DK Metcalf please) seems it's starting to generate buzz on the forum.. do you think is travels to Foxboro?
They know. Doesn't mean they find a deal they like but they know what we need.

Well.. the 3rd rounder we got for judon and a complimentary 6th.. should be appealing enough for Seahawks

The Chiefs have won through their draft.

LA is a dangerous team IMO, because of well they have drafted. The Lions are here because of their drafting.
And we are here becuase of our drafting!

Is it probable that the Rams let their starting left tackle walk in free agency? They have 46 mil in cap space, will have more when they dump Kupp... and they don't have too many big ticket free agents to sign this year... I don't think its realistic at this point... but, you never know...
It also might be as simple as the Patriots can (and probably should), offer more money than the Rams. Fortune favors the bold, and a young OT that has his best Football ahead of him is worth paying for. Especially given the state of our OL. It also gives us more flexibility in the Draft.

Why do we want to plan to carry any cap space into 2026?
Because it's smart to have 10 to 20 Million to keep Cap flexibility for the future. We have so much of it we could land multiple talented young FA's, and still not keep us from being able to acquire more in the future (in addition to signing our pwn players).

because the Krafts are cheap fiscally prudent?
You're right Pape. But, keeping some "Rainy Day" money for your own players and FA acquisitions in 2026 FA and beyond is just prudent.

What if your rt , lg, and c still sucks? If you don’t have more than 1 or 2 good linemen the LT can only help so much. Plus Ot was an issue all year but when people got open quick we moved effectively. We just have nobody to do this consistently or break through whenever drake has to improvise ( which drake is among the best in the league at already).

A good line helps but thats 5 people. Both are needed but One elite level wr is the single player who can help the most.
How much does that WR help if Maye is on his ass, running for his life, or in the blue tent with another concussion?

Build the line first. Good OL benefits running game and passing game both. Good OL helps make both QB and WRs better. One elite WR seems great until he tweaks an ankle. Don’t put all our eggs in that basket.

Osborn and Bourne have been successful in the NFL before… so you’re suggesting they changed or something around them changed… newsflash, it wasn’t them.

Douglas on the Texans is Tank Dell, on the Patriots who can’t block for more than a millisecond he’s Demario Douglas.

It’s a team sport.
