TB12 the WOAT of color commentators on FOX

Brady has room to improve, as many have pointed out.
But he is far from "the worst" commentator, in my opinion.

As of right now, I would rather listen to Brady than
- Ross Tucker (the last game I heard him do even my wife was saying how awful this guy was)
- Cris Collinsworth
- Joe Buck
- Jason McCourty, or the McCourty/Tiki Barber combo
- Mark Schlereth
- Mark Sanchez
- Jonathan Vilma
- Kurt Warner
- Troy Aikman

If we are going to complain about NFL analysts on television, there are far worse than Brady on the halftime, pre and post-game shows, that are absoulutely horrible and should have been replaced years ago
- Terry Bradshaw
- Phil Simms
- Jimmy Johnson
- Steve Mariucci
- Scott Van Pelt
Bradshaw must have incriminating photos and videos of Rupert Murdoch; there is no excuse whatsoever for him being on TV. He adds zero insight, constantly fumbles his lines, and can't even read off the teleprompter in front of him without screwing up.


And "Worst Of All Time"?

Joe Montana was brutal as a commentator also; as was Bill Walsh.

As exciting a player as Montana was, he was the exact opposite as an analyst. Thank God his broadcast career was short, it was painful to watch

Those pics were the reason "GOAT" started being widely used. The term simply wasn't used before then.

to the pout year when he sat on the sideline looking like someone shot his dog... we would've shredded any other quarterback with this back story. But boy could he quarterback...

You show me a superstar and I'll show you a flawed human being. Tom's flaws are a helluva lot more mild than many others'.

Also keep in mind he might actually need the FOX money. He wasn't rich enough to buy what he bought from the Raiders, and that money was possibly something that was taken into account in the process.

I have the same theory. Owning 5% of a football team is expensive to get in, and then it ain't exactly a liquid asset. Tom may have an ultra high net worth, but he also might need the Fox job for his cash flow.

Yes he is the GOAT of NFL QB's but he is horrible as a color commentator. Cringe worthy awkward talk. He is Captain obvious with a high squeaky voice. Not nearly as good as Romo, even when Romo is bad.

It's sad that FOX is trusting its biggest games, up to and including the Super Bowl, to someone still learning on the job.

Why should we have to put up with that when Greg Olsen was already fully up to speed?

The reason is some exec at FOX got a giant hard-on for Tom and rolled up the Brinks truck.

It was stupid then, and is still stupid now.

It's like how voice acting will prioritize A-list celebs for their voices over traditionally seasoned voice actors nowadays. Sports commentating is the same: a switch from the people who built careers around it in exchange for former players because of the gravity their sport gave them.

Sucks. People don't realize how much of commentating is a learned skill and art. Not easy, at all, to do.

Unlike your BS their claims are entirely credible if one just looks at a calendar. Thanksgiving in 2006 fell on the 23rd of November, their son Jack was born August 22, 2007.

Tom F Brady is among the GOAT at both football and breakup sex.
If you want to rip the guy stick with nailing him on the junk science and plastic surgery fronts, at least he's fairly vulnerable there.

I don’t think he’s that bad. His 1st week he was atrocious, but I think he’s gotten better every week. He seems to get it now, when to jump in with comments. Is he gonna last a long time, who knows ? Some guys like Madden, Romo & Aikman are naturals. I think Greg Olsen was a natural as well. He’s definitely way better than Brady at this point. But maybe Brady improves even more his 2nd season.

I think Tom's commentary is OK, but his voice is not good for broadcasting. Not deep enough, no gravitas. It always has had a slight, post-adolescent tone that doesn't command attention.
