Vrabel's Staff Discussion Thread (Discuss related news here)

This is a Jabbar

You must have me confused with someone else:

Quick side note - curious to see what happens from a strength and conditioning standpoint. The Steelers reportedly purged all the older people from their conditioning staff and suffered a significant increase in "soft-tissue" injuries last season. Hoping to see Vrabel be mindful of that this offseason so that we don't see any of that here.

Do we have a lot of hamstring and groin pulls?

Does brother Mayo stay under the new regime? There were in-season grumblings here about the training staff.

a name that was mentioned a few times here before.

Why did we not interview Tommy Rees or Klint Kubiak, 2 of the hottest OCs on market. Makes zero sense . Why waste 5 days after hiring of vrabel to not even start any interview process. Not a good look !!

The market was bad because the cap jumped way up so teams were able to keep their best players. Wolf made the right moves by keeping the FA$$ till this year, and also on taking Maye.
Also, we have the #4 pick cause we only won 4 games, and would likely have won 7 games with Vrabel and be picking 12th or 13th.

I agree I think it would of been a waste to splurge in FA last year. Those FAs would have been exposed to a losing culture. Better to bring them in when the slate is clean. Plus Vrabel is going to want to target players with the right work ethic.

I think Vrabel knows exactly what he’s doing. I’m not the least bit concerned about his decision making. I have never understood why Patriot fans always think the sky is falling?

He must have interviews liked up but not scheduled?
Maybe coaches from teams in the final 8?

Vrabel said days ago that he was doing OC interviews "later that day". I would have to assume he is conducting business and it is simply not being published. We may get a news drop over the weekend that says who they've hired and find out later who they interviewed. That said, if they have their eyes on someone they can't hire yet (on the Rams, Lions, Ravens, Bills staffs etc) then it could be a bit.

Do you have a clip where he said he was doing Oc interviews?
Aren’t they required to leak who they are interviewing?

1 to boost the candidates appeal but 2 to display the process?

I like watching Offenses that look like they belong in this century and not in the stone age. To your second question they can get multiple Guys open on the same Routes QB's choice.

See those catches by Robinson and Tutu Atwell?? Those were the same routes ran by Puka Nacua and Kupp all game I am sure you remember.
Good one

Maybe the NFL asked teams to keep coordinator interview requests with teams still in playoffs on the down low until thise teams are out of playoffs. so as not to be distracting

eg Nick Caley of rams
no idea why the secrecy about mcdaniels.
If he were not interested, i think it would of cone out already

I suspect his choice will not be a “big name” but someone he trusts like Downing or Kelly

Phil Perry floated Dean Pees coming as a "special advisor/defensive assistant" Kinda like a Dom Capers role.

Hes currently w/ BAL.
Give me Mike wilks, Lou Anurumo, a veteran Coach.. please!
