TB12 the WOAT of color commentators on FOX

Worst of all time is a stretch but he is pretty bland. I think we all knew that going in.

I think he's been a disappointment. Romo came in his first year and brought a new level to the color analyst position. I think because of who Tom Brady is, he came in with very high expectations, and would take it up a notch from there. I don't think he did, I don't think he's as good as Romo used to be. I think he's most fun when he gets very excited and drops the "Unbelievable!" because, to me anyway, that's how is really is on the sidelines. I'd rather listen to a guy like Zo, dropping "show ponies" on big plays.

Found something Brady's not really excellent at. Guess he's not a super hero after all.

Romo was really good, mixing that silly enthusiasm with a true understanding of of what he was seeing on the field and how to explain that quickly to the audience.

He comes across forced and fake, just like his new chin line and the rest of his plastic surgery.

He ain't aging well. Once you're into that plastic surgery stuff you gotta keep it up. Looks like he hasn't.
When the cameras are on the two broadcasters and Kevin Burkhardt is speaking, Brady peacocks with an interminable smile that accentuates his plastic surgery efforts, and I don't see Tom Brady, I see Dexter.

I think his commentary is too often rah-rah jock speak and not often does he go out of his way to educate the viewer on how a NFL QB would be processing the pre-play reads and in-play routes to find open targets.
Romo did that at the beginning of his run and was told to stand down. Early Romo was must listen.

Yes he is the GOAT of NFL QB's but he is horrible as a color commentator. Cringe worthy awkward talk. He is Captain obvious with a high squeaky voice. Not nearly as good as Romo, even when Romo is bad.
TB12 will be on the Super Bowl this year...see for yourself.
Supposedly his agent says he is going to stay on Fox for the full 1o years. Not even sure how this is allowed when he is part owner of the Raiders.
Exactly

Brady interrupts constantly rambling on aimlessly yammering into the next play. SHUT UP. Romo tells you what to look for in a few words. Bradys input is usually some lame protracted story in his high pitched voice. Brady is Kermit Mahomes annoying. He will make this coming Super Bowl unbearable to listen to.

He is doing a fine job. He just gets 100 times the attention because of who he is. All color commentators say stupid and/or obvious things over the course of a game. It is the nature of the job.

Nah not the WOAT nor the greatest color commentator. I think he started off raw but he's much better now.

He gets a lot of attention because of who he is.

Not too many people noticed when Kurt Warner forgot the rules at least once on a broadcast....

The only two good Pats on TV are Edelman and Rodney. Brady is not great and Gronk is terrible. McGinest was good too, but he’s not on tv anymore.

Bruschi is not bad. Ross Tucker is a good color commentator and far better than Brady at it.

Agreed about Gronk... his natural charisma doesn't really translate to a broadcasting or TV type of role.

I liked Boomer on the westwood one broadcasts.

Agree with the comment that if he were any other team’s long time qb we would all be saying he is a fake plastic dbag with a phony glued on smile and hair plugs

But…he is ours and we are all obliged to him for the greatness he brought to this franchise

I am not worried at all that he is a football genius who will instantly create a Raiders dynasty

Great Great player but genius overseer of football operations- i doubt it

i think the fanbase would've torn the guy apart if he wasn't a Pat.. from ditching his pregnant girlfriend, to the glamour life with a supermodel, to his old man butting in, to the quack supplement/training fiasco, the ridiculous goat (real one) and water slide pics, to the pout year when he sat on the sideline looking like someone shot his dog... we would've shredded any other quarterback with this back story. But boy could he quarterback...

I think he's been fine but he does play Captain Obvious sometimes.. I just don't understand the need to do this (besides $ and having your name out there - I guess that solves it).

Especially now that he's a part of the Raiders.. why not drop the commentating and focus on that?
The only thing his commentating gig is keeping him from doing for the Raiders is sit next to Mark Davis for 4 hours every Sunday.

Also keep in mind he might actually need the FOX money. He wasn't rich enough to buy what he bought from the Raiders, and that money was possibly something that was taken into account in the process.
