IMO, June 1st is irrelevant. The total cap cost is exactly the same; nothing is saved. All that is affected is the split between the 2025 cap and the 2026 cap.
I believe the amount of new money owed to Bourne for 2025 is zero. There is $2.8M of dead money from his bonus and that be spread out over 2 years or not.

I suspect that he will be traded as part of a trade for a WR. If not, he might stay until after the draft and then be traded.

Bourne is an OK #3 or #4 WR, so some team should be willing to give us something.

Bourne isn't part of the future. We have Boutte, Douglas, Baker and Polk.
We will also likely have two additions: one free agent and one acquired through a trade. We might even have a late round draft choice.
