Thats Robyn Glaser.
I know it's off topic, but for the life of me I can't find the quote from her about the "Everchanging North Star".
That should have been our first clue of things going in the ****ter with "too much management, not enough leadership".
Kraft is too easily swayed by ass kissers.

Tommy Rees has been promoted to Cleveland's OC.

So he is out.
Do you have a source? I know he interviewed, but I have not seen anything about him being hired.

Vrabel had a good point on WEEI this morning. He was asked about getting an OC who would be here a while and they wouldn't have too much turnover at the position.

Vrabel essentially said that he isn't that worried about that and the main concern is that he just wants to get it right, and that it's a production business. His point was that if you make a good hire and things go really well, then yeah your guy might leave for other opportunities - but that is OK, because hey, that means you had a great season. And hopefully you will have guys to promote or if not you will have other qualified guys externally who will love to come take the job after you just had a big year. Whereas if you get it wrong and have a bad year, you're firing the guy anyway. So trying to be "safe" is potentially just dooming yourself to Option 2.

If Rees is out then McDaniels is probably the best option unless you can convince Josh McCown of course.

Rees has been named OC at Cleveland. Bummer.

McCown might be the best bet then.
Speaking of McCown I found this interesting when looking up another OC candidate...

Hartford Colonials

[edit]
On March 19, 2010, Dave Ragone was named the wide receiver/quarterback coach for the Hartford Colonials of the United Football League.[3] Under his coaching, quarterback Josh McCown was named Offensive Player of the Week on September 20, 2010.[4][5] He would also lead the league in passer rating & touchdown passes.[6]

IMO a key difference is that Bill seemed to work parallel to his scouts and would end up having a different draft board than his front office, and there would be conflict. Whereas Vrabel seems to empower his front office and say "this is what I want, go find it" and he will check in on their work frequently, but at the end of the day they will be doing the scouting and he will use their work as the basis to make decisions.
Curran succinctly compared/contrasted the "BB" way to the "Vrabel" way

BB- "This is what I want and this is how you need to do it. If you won't, or can't do it, or don't like it, leave".

Vrabel- "This is what I want and here is WHY. Is this possible? Can you do it? If not, do you have a better idea?" <Vrabes then lets person give it a shot. If they fail, they are gone>

I'm not sure Bill wasn't to that extreme but I can see the differences in styles.

Woke ****.

I think that's not completely fair to Bill. He was constantly letting McD and BOB (part 1) try new things on offense. He was also letting Pioli do his own work on the personnel side. Didn't Flores basically introduce a new kind of defense?

I think the difference with Bill was you had to earn it first, and then he gave you license to try new ways of doing things.

So now I'm starting to think maybe Dave Ragone is the hot OC we need.

Agree. Like I said it was a bit of an extreme comparison.

With Bill, they needed to earn it but I do think they needed to do it his way.

I have thought about this also - the biggest beneficiary of Josh McDaniels being hired would be Pop Douglas.
Maybe. I think he has the short area quickness required. I just don’t think he has a good enough football IQ or the route running ability required to excel in that system.

Ken Dorsey
The guy that has been fired after half a season in Buffalo and after only one year in Cleveland??

No thanks. Keep this guy as far away as Drake Maye as possible

Woke ****.

The asterisk symbolizes the north star, because, as Glaser said, the north star "constantly moves but it's something we always strive for." This is another core idea for the team.

Interesting. So the NORTH star, which is known as such because it always represents true north, and therefore cannot ever be moving, is actually constantly moving? What a breakthrough scientific discovery.

Not to mention examples of him finding other roles for players while they grew or just a better position.

Jules making his way on STs and even defense before finally cracking through.

DMac moving from corner to Safety.

Using Vrabel as a TE.

So she had no idea what he was talking about, either.
