And why would Cowden even agree to this?

I don't think the tweets are right; no way Vrabel takes this on without his own personnel guy in place.
I’m guessing Wolf will slowly be phased out.

I'm hoping that Pellegrino and Brian Belichick stay on. They are excellent position coaches.

It will be interesting to see what Vrabel does with the O-line. Whether he keeps Peters or goes another direction.

One position coach that people have mentioned is WR. Not sure who Vrabel will look at. Not sure about Welker. Not sure who other WR coaches are out there.

For OC, I hope that Vrabel goes to the College ranks. I know that people talk about McDaniels, but I'm not sure another stint with the Pats is in the cards.

For what it's worth, in my college Composition Classes, I got Straight A's. I know how to write. But, as this is just a Fan Forum and a degree isn't riding on my correct use of paragraph's, I rarely bother.

Who cares what you got for college grades.. You being lazy on a fan forum just means people will ignore your posts. Especially when they can't make heads or tails of your thoughts.

Am I the only one who does not want McD back?
He won't come back after the way Kraft has crapped on BB to boost himself up.

He told the Broncos locker room he could make any High School QB an All Pro.
I'm sorry but this and the "Brady bullied me" comments have me convinced McDaniels is just funny as heck and nobody gets that he's joking

Now pats have to go through the rooney rule crap for OC, DC And qb coach
Just skirt around it (but do it quickly), like every other team does, and they already did before getting Vrabel.

I mentioned somewhere else about the possibility of Vrabel getting some young "Whiz Kid" OC from a college program who could be exactly what we need. It's not a bad idea.

I am guessing that Cowden will come help, Wolf will still run the scouting dept, they will get rid of some people and add some others, but Vrabel will be granted final say over Wolf
I can’t imagine Vrabel coming and not having final say over Wolf

I’d be fine with McDaniels as he’s a very capable OC who won’t get another HC shot in the pros. That said give me Tommy Rees. Let’s see what he can come up with.

No, McDaniels had a team meeting right after Cutler was traded (who asked for it after his one and only meeting with McDaniels) and told them that. Players were pissed Cutler was traded, so I don’t think that was a good time as a first time HC to be sarcastic.

Players have also said he’s very arrogant.

Regarding the bullying, Carr isn’t the most reliable as he also challenged a media member to a fight. But it wouldn’t shock me if it were true.

his offense heavily depens on QB and WR reading the defense the same way, i just don't think this approach is best. Additionally maye played in west coast offense this season. Why change to a complete new very complex system as evidenced by several players not able to learn the offense under JMD without brady

hell our WR were not smart enough to learn this years offense
I do understand, and there is no question we would need a more savvy and professional bunch of WR's if McD were to play the same scheme with the same expectations of players now with Drake Maye as he did with Brady and a group of receivers with experience in his system, as Brady (generally!) had. I think McD has demonstrated more than he gets credit for that he can adapt his scheme to his personnel, and broadening and/or simplifying what he does has been a personal point of emphasis for him as, with time on his hands, he has contemplated how to update his approach. I have great faith in intelligence generally, and I think he is a very bright man. His people skills are not up to snuff, evidently, as his HC record indicates, but I see no evidence there or elsewhere that he is not a very effective OC.

If we him brought here we would have another former Patriot player to take over as HC if Vrabel fails.
The jetes are an option

It is no coincidence that Cam Newton and Mac Jones were able to string together 17 wins in 2020-2021 with him as an OC.
Yep. That was a pretty remarkable accomplishment, I think the impression of some that he can only run a very complex offense suited only to certain sorts of players is very much overblown. There is probably some truth to that imopression in his HC experience, but not in his work as OC. I think the Brady era's impatience with WR's struggling to master the system was more on Brady than on Josh, because of Tom's perfectionism. McD, I think, was actually reasonable patient.

I wonder what happened in Miami that Wes got fired. They did have a great WR room, but they also looked well coached and effective during his 3 years down there. Anyone got any info?
plus, Waddle and Hill both missed a significant number of games. Can anyone who has access to the Miami press tell us what they are saying are the reasons for the firing?
McDaniel’s offense has flamed out for a now 3rd time in a row and is feeling the heat. It’s laughable Welker is being thrown under the bus. But here’s Chris Carter explaining what’s happening in Miami.
