If not for his two sons, Belichick and Kraft would have broken up a long while ago.I'm judging this on 2 things: 1 the fact that rumors were swirling early last week and he made it a point to wear UNC blue on his TV show. 2 I assume he did his due diligence on wether he wanted one of these jobs and if there would be mutual interest in him and I assume he used this info before deciding on UNC. And even if something unforseen arose like Brady I still think it would take a lot to get him to break his commitment. Maybe that is enough but I don't think so.
Belichick thought he was going to leave it all to a coach like McDaniels or O'Brien who would continue to employ his sons.
Otherwise, he would have been gone after 2019 with Brady.
Plenty of owners would've given up control to him back then.
This is why I think there's little chance he leaves UNC, not with his sons there with him. Steve is ticketed to take over as coach once Belichick steps down.
