This made me laugh during a zoom meeting damn.
Ya I wonder how half the board on here gets away with this at work all day? Us old farts didn’t even have enough time to sit on this all day .. oh to be young again

Nah, Vrabel comes to New England as HC, Brady sells his part ownership of Raiders, gives up broadcast gig, and signs mega deal as OC of Patriots
Actually he'll find a loophole which allows him to do all 3 jobs....

I remember 15 years ago I had a IT pull my internet usage and 99.99 was patsfans.com
And they asked my friend why is he on it in April?
He shakes his head and goes oh god the Draft.

This account is just a Patriots news aggregator. I doubt he knows any specifics.
It is going kinda long though. Almost 5p now. Thought we would have heard something of some sort by now, like "we have completed our interview" or some leak or something.

Yeah I guess I am not used to the post-Bill organizational transparency so who knows? They could still be chopping it up at The Ground Round.

Vrabel has the upper hand. How do we make Vrabel wait a day til we interview BJ.

Again considering that you have not done a in person interview and an interview limited to 3 hours how do you make a hire thats going to decide the next 3 years of a billion dollar franchise.

I would say odds favor vrabel. And if Vrabel has Saleh and McD lined up while willing to work with Springer, pellegrino and AVP/McCartney and wolf in reduced capacity , not sure how you can combat that . If he goes to raiders interview, Brady is not even interviewing vrabel, they might just be discussing financials.

I think the fact that vrabel took a year off to understand how organizations work and what constitutes a successful org and what does not and the various departments that are required to be humming together , that's insane tribal knowledge which bill had and lots of rookie HC don't have. On top of that being an alpha dog like Dan Campbell, that should be great to create a culture.

Leave apart offensive play calling, vrabel beats Johnson on all parameters. The only thing favoring Johnson is he could unlock maye to otherworldly levels of Quarterbacking but we need solid offensive line for it.

Probably he could unlock Milton to be a next Gen QB as well thereby driving trade value and helping us get a first rounder and second rounder in 2026 trade.

I don't know how you can hedge risk and not select vrabel. You need to be a huge punter to go with Johnson and I am pro Johnson .

I spent some time yesterday watching interviews and press conferences with Johnson and i came away very very impressed. One of the things you hear around is he's introverted, well maybe compared to Dan Campbell but he is far from an Introvert.

He was funny, confident, precise and very inclusive all the time of giving praise to his staff and players. Of course its easier to be all those things when you have a gun team and how he would handle a crap team is a big question but i came away very impressed.

I've said all along i'm pretty sure Vrabel will be the guy and he probably will but i've flopped over to the Johnson side now.

He's given me enough confidence after listening to him that it would be great to finally mover into a modern cutting edge system with a guy who at the very least you know will be probably the best person for Drake moving forward.

I'll still be happy enough with Vrabel but i've gotten my hopes up for Johnson.

Wow.. means Aaron Glenn did not want to be seen as another Rooney rule candidate and feels strongly about his chances elsewhere and realizes he is backup candidate for pats when they don't get Vrabel or Johnson.

That's signs of a confident leader and very high levels of conviction and self respect. Whomsoever gets him is a lucky org. My guess is he goes to Jags or Bears.

My guess is they will still interview Johnson, but a handshake with Vrabel is in place today. The contract will be worked out over the weekend, and we have a new coach on Monday.
