I don't see the Raiders ponying up.

Are they still paying Josh? How about Gruden???
I think this is why it won’t happen. Not only is it an expensive proposition but the Raiders are a ground up rebuild, this isn’t some overnight fix… they don’t have a QB.

I think Bill wanted the NC job and money is not his main motivator, it’s a new challenge and he’s coaching kids… something he clearly enjoyed during the draft process.

Bill may give the Raiders a discounted rate for the chance to stick it to Kraft

Why didn’t the Krafts offer Tom Brady an ownership stake.
We don't know it wasn't mentioned in private but it seems clear Brady wants a path to full ownership someday, something he wouldn't have in New England but potentially has in Las Vegas.

How does coaching the Raiders stick it to Kraft? When Kraft fired him, it isn't like he didn't consider the possibility he would eventually coach someplace else in the NFL.

Seems to me he'd be sticking it to UNC a lot more than to the guy who fired him.

Gotta admire how Bill has upped his trolling game in recent weeks.

His latest shot.....

“Robert Kraft, Jonathan Kraft, Robyn Glaser, they are the decision-makers there,” Belichick said. “Who exactly does what and so forth. Mayo was hand-picked by Robert, but in the end, the decision-making is something that they have to comment on and identify.

Including the imbedded Kraft group attorney as a key player in the Patriots Axis of Power is Bill at his finest.

That in a nutshell is the true overriding issue with the current state of this franchise.

I have nothing against Robyn Glaser, but she - and Jonathan - need to stay in their lane.

In other words, they need to stay strictly 100% on the business side of this enterprise.

Right now their sole task should be to hire a President of Football Operations who has the final say on anything and everything football related.

That new person should then be in charge of hiring a GM and HC. That triumvirate needs to be far and away from the process of hiring a HC, but of course they have the priorities reversed.

So I’m just supposed to believe that the Raiders are among multiple teams who have reached out to Bill about their head coaching vacancy or potential vacancy? Tommy P. is legit, but he is clearly fabricating the story, because I have been assured by multiple posters here that NFL teams want nothing to do with Bill and that the game has passed him by and that he would never have another opportunity to be a head coach in the NFL.

100%

People need to remember that Belichick actually agreed to take the Raiders HC position way back in 1998 but he was pulled back to the Jets with the promise that he would have the job after Parcells left. I don't think he's averse to the Raiders at all.

Brady's networth is early $300-500 mil
Mike Davis is worth around $2.6 billion
Raiders are valuated around $7.8 billion

They could pay out the $10 million every year for 260 years just off of Brady/Davis networth alone before running out.

Now, to your point, that doesn't mean **** as they're probably cheap as hell. But just some food for thought lol.

But BB can’t get an NFL job…

But TB hates BB…

And the heads of the haters collectively explode in unison.
BB wouldn't have a QB though he ain't winning without that.

BB on the Jaguars would be a nice fit: he's just the guy to turn around Trevor Lawrence.

I know it makes for great sports talk fodder, but....

Not surprising at all. Would’ve been a terrible look to talk the powers-to-be at North Carolina into radically changing how aggressive they are in terms of finances, then stating in his first press conference at coaching college football was a dream come true, and then likely telling all of the recruits and transfer portal players that he was excited and fully committed to his new gig. If he/his team shows well in 2025, NFL teams still be calling him again in Jan 2026.
