Here's our FA
Jonathan Jones - Go
Jacoby - could go either way
Chuks - Was he here?
Hooper - Keep
Schooler - Believe he re-signed
Ekuala - Keep
Hasty - Meh
Hawkins - Meh
Slye - Go
Ximines - Keep maybe?
Elliss - Keep
Austin - Keep
Pharms - Keep
Jackson - IDC
Jacobs - Fire into the Sun

Edit: Wise should be a FA too, I'd try to keep him

I'd say Schooler is the only one that's a lock for next year's 53. Chuks can go but I think most of the rest can be part of the 90 and let them compete next summer. And unless every off-season move works perfectly some will still make the 53.

I think it all depends on what the new coach wants to run.

Hooper and Schooler.

I'd be open to Jonathan Jones if he came back on a steep discount, although I think he's washed, his experience would be valuable.

Other than that, they can all go. I'd like to keep Slye, he's been ok, but I'm not spending a ton of money on him.

Question is, how many 3-year re-sign deals are we going to get out of this group, in the name of 'We're re-signing our own players, and totally doing something in the offseason'.

The cheap depth guys will get re-signed if the scheme is the same. You’d rather at least have more players who know what they’re doing in training camp than a bunch of extra UDFAs.

I’d like to see Jones back, possibly at safety, but more because I’m a sentimental old fool.

Austin is probably worth keeping around but most of that list is at least fungible if not easily upgradable.

They can all go, there’s a large amount of stank on this team

Austin and Ellis will get interest he looks like our most active player at times.

Yep.

Also it's just hard to be excited or care at all about deep roster churning until we know what's changing higher up the chain. No changes up top and I'd be distancing myself from the team for the first time in over 30 years.

In my humble opinion, except for Maye and Gonzalez; Everyone else can go. Whether it via Release or Trade. Some will obviously have to stay just to keep up the Roster. Even then, I'd only keep those that are young and can hopefully possibly get better (even as role players), with a hopefully significantly better Coaching Staff, which I doubt will happen after this season. Kraft's ego will not let him do the right thing (rewrite a wrong that never should have been made in the first place), which would be to let Mayo and everyone except AVP (kept strictly as a QB Coach, unless the new HC/OC can bring in better).

You and a lot of folks - I think participation here would probably fall off heavily.

I do think this topic would be fun to talk about though once the new org structure is determined, assuming it happens.

In another thread today I wrote there are about 12 to 15 “keepers” on this roster, and the rest are expendable.

I see a ton of UDFAs on the next roster.
And honestly I thought that would be the case this season.

The following are RFA:
Lester Cotton
Christian Elliss

The following are ERFA:
Ben Brown
Alex Austin
Jeremiah Pharms
Demontray Jacobs
JaQuae Jackson

Of the ERFA, Brown, Austin and Pharms are no brainers.

I would give Elliss an extension. Don't screw around with the RFA tender.

Austin Hooper is the only UFA that I'd re-sign.

If they re-sign Ekuale, they should do it on a 1yr deal. But he's going to be 31, so it's not likely if Wolf sticks to his not signing players who are 30+.

There are a plethora of DE, DT, LB, CB and S out there.

DE: Need others besides White and Pharms.
DT: Ekuale was mediocre. They need another young stud. Especially with Barmore's career up in the air
LB: The Pats need better depth here. Losing Bentley left a huge hole that Tavai clearly couldn't fill.
CB: Jon Jones is toast. Marcus Jones is injury prone (3yrs/3 IRs). Neither Austin nor Bolden really stepped up to show they could be more than 4th/5th CBs. So the Pats needs that #2 to Gonzalez's #1. The Pats also need someone for the Slot because of Marcus Jones not being reliable, health wise.
S: Dugger regressed after his contract. Peppers may or may not be around. Hawkins is a jag. Pettus may turn out to be more than a special teams player, but we'll see.

Guys to look at in Free Agency: (will change between now and the start of free agency) (bold are my preferences)

DE: Chauncy Golston, Josh Sweat, Pat Jones,
DT: Bobby Brown III, Naquan Jones
S: Tre'von Moehrig
CB: Paulson Adebo, Byron Murphy, Kristian Fulton, Mike Hughes, Brandin Echols,
LB: Ernest Jones, Devin Bush, Zach Baun

OT: Cam Robinson, Josh Jones, Alaric Jackson ,

I keep Maye and Gonzo no matter what
As far as the others.
They must find out who is not happy with this losing situation.
At least those players with good coaching have half a chance.
The ones that love that they now have Sony PlayStation in the locker room and losing means nothing because they are still receiving a paycheck.
Cut them lose immediately
I want to see hungry players again.
The laughing in the locker room after a blowout is alarming
Those players must go no matter who they are

Jonathan - Try to keep, but not breaking the bank for him
Brisket - Only as a one-year, non-guaranteed, vet-minimum Last Resort
Hooper - Try to keep
Eukelale - GO
Hasty Puddin' - GO
Hawkins - Last Resort
Slye - Last Resort
Ximines - Last Resort

The rest are either RFAs or ERFAs, so no use worrying about them for now.
