This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

Fair point, but lets not pretend that we don't have the worst OL talent in the league. Owenu looks fatter and slower this year, Sidy wasn't good at pass blocking last year, so I don't feel that there has been that much regression with him. I feel like Robinson and Sow are about the same guy and this staff wants to play their guy. Lowe has improved somewhat and Jacobs shouldn't be starting on the OL.

I am all for bringing in a new OL coach, but I have a hard time believing that Peters having learned from Callahan is that bad. But the Titans OL is trash also so maybe Callahan is not as good as many people believe.
You said Peters hasn’t been that bad. How? Good coaching would show discipline, technique, improvement. We have had none of that. Penalties continue, technique is awful, improvement isn’t happening. Robinson spent a snap standing at the los blocking no one and not moving at all. That’s a huge sign of poor coaching he literally didn’t know what to do so he did nothing

Here is the play i was referring to.

I find it impossible to believe that is a well coached OL.

This is a wildly inappropriate post from Jeremiah. He has the following to get 600,000 views, the vast majority of which have no idea that the ball was snapped early. The guy who admitted he made a mental mistake is making a perfectly fine block in the picture while his teammates look terrible due to a mistake they didn’t make.

3 players standing around doing nothing is not inappropriate to call out.

They didn't know the ball was snapped, by time they did the guys were well past them, Lowe and Jacobs are chasing, Robinson is charged with picking up any late blitzers or helping after none come. It's a post to get views, it's not meaningful in any way to show how good or bad the line is. Click Bait, and it worked.

Regardless of Strange’s possibility at C, just assume have Andrews ride out the last year of his deal next year assuming health and his willingness. It’s not like this team will be pressed against the salary cap and need to make those hard decisions.

For a team that lacks leadership, especially from their dopey HC who could likely be back, doesn’t hurt having it elsewhere in a guy like Andrews.
This is true! Love Andrews, and the locker room desperately needs him. However, his injuries and already being undersized, have shown up more as he ages. I'd hate to mess around with Strange in TC at Guard or something just to put him in the lineup, if he's really the best option at Center moving forward. He's a 1st round pick for a reason - athletic, strong, smart - and still young (will be 27 for next season). Andrews will be 33.

Lowe and Jacobs have been objectively terrible. We're excited when Lowe sticks with a block for 2 consecutive pass plays as if he's a star. Truth is - he and Jacobs are ridiculous excuses for starting Tackles in the NFL. We absolutely need massive upgrades there.

LT / Robinson / Strange / Onwenu* / RT (+Wallace?)

LT - draft in 1st round (trade down). And sign solid FA and/or keep Lowe as the backup
* - Onwenu needs to be put on notice - get in shape and increase agility
RT - Sign a solid FA, Wallace trains as a backup.

Aside from the ball having been snapped early let me show you our non talented OL chasing the guys that beat them. Observe Lowe and Jacobs. I understand that you refuse to believe that is a well coached unit as I refuse to believe that is a talented unit. I imagine that we are both correct to a degree. I feel like it is difficult to judge a position coach when they are given UFL talent.

On RT Caedan Wallace he Needs work but we need a Real OL Coach to get him up to speed.
I am a broken record: COLE POPOVICH.

He was with the Patriots and doing a good job when he was booted out of the league for not receiving an experimental Covid shot. But he’s back in as the assistant OL coach with the Texans.

Imperative changes for the Patriots coaches are new WR and OL coaches.

This adds context:

Jacobs, Lowe and Gibson all whiffed. I can understand the tackles being late getting out because of the early snap but Gibson had a tough miss here.

Do you think Robinson is supposed to do that? He has no clue what to do. That’s coaching.
Again I’ll say show me good discipline, technique, improvement and I’ll say they are coached well. But all 3 are terrible across the board.

And yes Wolf totally failed at this as well as other positions but the cos hung is bad too. Getting better players and not improving the coaching won’t get you there and I refuse to accept “worked for someone I think is good” as proof of being good.

The biggest issue is Robinson. He got off in the snap and had no idea what to do so he just stood there and didn’t move.

This is correct. Strange might be not be an All-Pro center, but I bet he will be quite good. Watch Strange in his first game at center getting to the second level. Robinson has a lot of mental lapses (I hope it is not side to side movement limitations) that should be ironed out in Y2. Watch Robinson pancake block Ed Oliver - he is a strong boy. Onwenu might not be worth the money we are paying, but he is not the problem.

If we had two tackles as good as Strange is at center, we would be all set.

Robinson is a big strong boy with long arms. He is improving. Let's hope the game slows down for him in Y2. Robinson might be good - he has the physical traits needed.

Khalil Mack vs a RB, not the plan, expected outcome.

Considering the severity of his injury and long layoff, it was an encouraging performance by Strange. If Andrews can also play G he would be a good depth piece who leads by example.

That is what D Andrews is at this point, a good depth piece at both center and guard.

He should probably retire.
If we cut him we eat 4 mill but save 3.25.
I guess it doesn’t matter because we won’t spend the 3.25.
I’d rather see Andrews get it than Kraft keep it.

This is better, in real time, not slowed down. Gibson was looking at his right to pick up the blitzing LB and didn't react to the snap either Also, the early snap caught Lowe asleep. Gibson's been solid there in at least not being a turnstile. Lucky Maye recovered from his pre-snap signals to get the snap.
