This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

So we used a 1st round pick on a center? Oof. At least I'm glad we finally found a position Strange can play.
That’s water under the bridge now. I’m just happy that we drafted someone who is still capable of being in the league at this point, even if he was over drafted back then. That’s better than some of our other picks (Harry, Easley). The big hope is that we can get a regime change that will result in minimal busts going forward.

Exact opposite of KSVEN's breakdown. It's bizarro world the opposite.
You’re not kidding…it’s the opposite. I don’t believe most of these PFF grades.

I trust KSVEN so this is just more proof PFF is worthless.
I saw that. Sometimes they make no sense. I remember JJ Watt (I think) saying how he sat with his coaches and reviewed tape of his performances and then looked at PFF and they were nowhere close.

They have a system, but they also have low paying college kids reviewing tape so sometimes its way off but on average you can get a ballpark sense and over the long run its more accurate. But reviewing tape is better.
I also like to check out Lazar and Kyles all-22 reviews after to see if they kind of agree and normally they are close to what I have, occasionally they point out something I missed, Kyles tends to be a little more lenient than he should be, Lazar is less lenient.

On PFF, for example, Ben Brown had a ZERO pass block grade vs Arizona. They recorded 28 Pass Blocks, 3 pressures and recorded a ZERO grade, never updated or fixed, still there. He had a 29.7 vs Chicago with zero sacks, hits or pressures.

I like to look at PFF and look at discrepancies, but they are prone to making huge mistakes. But they give you some detailed info you can't get anywhere else, just need to know what to use and what not to.

FYI-LB Sione Takitaki was horrible, again, not the best defender LOL

I just realized NFL Pro was added to NFL+.
For those like me that had no idea what it is: basically all-22 film on steroids.
Also includes Next Gen stats and insights. For example: Drake Maye is 1 of 2 QB's in the NFL with a positive EPA on tight window throws (Lamar Jackson is the other)

But you can so much more easily watch tape, I've been using the all-22 from NFL+ game replays. They added NFL Pro to it this year but I DIDN'T KNOW LOL. I've had to scan the field to see if a player was on the field, had to jump around using 10 second forward and back

I was wondering how Kyles had a video of all Wallace's plays only, thought he spent time editing the various plays together but this you can just search a player and get that player's plays only on all-22.

I can get it done in half the time but now I'll spend 3 times as long in the portal LOL. Glad I found that out so early in the season LOL.

Just wondering how analysts post these and don't break copyright? Would like use it and do some YouTube stuff with it. Sounds like you can't make money off the videos and any ads that make money go to NFL so NFL allows these videos because they might make money off them...interesting.

Linebacker is an enormous need. Let's get linebackers who can fly around the field and worry less about them acting like DTs when ours inevitably fail. If space fillers is what you want, then get a DT!

Most of the lbs are cast off jags from other teams, so i agree this is a major area of need

One of the reasons I feel this way is because of Hunter/Higgins/Deebo. The OL won’t be as much as an issue when Maye is throwing to one or 2 of them.
You want to have the worst OL in the NFL by far and bring it back for another go?
Have you watched them play?

Cole Strange is our best OL when Onwenu is fat.

Thanks. Wallace is not shy which is nice. Big guy. Lots hope he moves well enough to be a RT. Our scouts are usually OK at picking tackles, not perfect, but the hit rate on tackles is better than WRs. LOL.
Since when?

We have the worst OL in the NFL by far. He’s been awful
Fair point, but lets not pretend that we don't have the worst OL talent in the league. Owenu looks fatter and slower this year, Sidy wasn't good at pass blocking last year, so I don't feel that there has been that much regression with him. I feel like Robinson and Sow are about the same guy and this staff wants to play their guy. Lowe has improved somewhat and Jacobs shouldn't be starting on the OL.

I am all for bringing in a new OL coach, but I have a hard time believing that Peters having learned from Callahan is that bad. But the Titans OL is trash also so maybe Callahan is not as good as many people believe.

Regardless of Strange’s possibility at C, just assume have Andrews ride out the last year of his deal next year assuming health and his willingness. It’s not like this team will be pressed against the salary cap and need to make those hard decisions.

For a team that lacks leadership, especially from their dopey HC who could likely be back, doesn’t hurt having it elsewhere in a guy like Andrews.
