Exactly. How can you tout a guy as a "leader of men" when the one guy who has all the talent in the world and just needed some leadership, instead does nothing, specifically because he doesn't like the leadership of the guy who was supposed to be a leader?
I just don't know who Mayo's style is supposed to cater to. As far as I can tell there are a lot of guys who HAVE talent but have disappeared in a puff of smoke. KJ Osborn, Ja'lynn Polk, Sidy Sow. Mike Onwenu and Kyle Dugger both had their performance fall off. Tavai fell even more. Rhamondre has not been good. They brought in guys from elsewhere who started strong (like Ben Brown) and then got worse the longer they were here. Chuks Okorafor literally quit football after a couple of drives!
Meanwhile, who is the opposite of that coin? What player has thrived under Mayo and exceeded their assumed ability? I can't think of one.
Not a good sign. If White is simply the first to speak up, and others now find it safe to say similarly, it will be a bad thing for Mayo. That is "losing the locker room".
