The Case Against Eliot Wolf

Why are people giving this CLOWN more time? Look at what he has spoken, out of his own MOUTH.

Calvin Anderson was a fkn WILDCARD, yet he was part of the plan..where is he now?
WHAT PLAN has this clown devised? Did anyone SEE Buffalo just blowing through his awesome line? Drake was running for his life almost every play.

Y'all SAW Bill ASKING Those fkn mental deficients if they agreed on Mac Jones, he was probably hoping they said "I'm not sure Bill"
Yet the "Collaboration said "Yes".
We saw it, that crap wasn't just Bill.
Wolfie is a fkn CLOWN, just cuz he told a cool story before the Pack drafted Jennings does NOT mean he knows what he is doing.
At that point BB had lost his leverage over personnel by simultaneously missing on Harry and letting Brady go too soon. He had no choice, but to go with the consensus pick.

Is it normal weed that has been modified, or a different substance all together? I thought it was like bath salts.

Bath salts is a more comparable drug (though the synthetic weed is not as intense as that), the kind of synthetic weed he was smoking bares only visual resemblance. It might be some adjusted THC cannabinoid but it's much stronger than even the THC-X or DeltaX variants you find in most gas stations today.

Pro-tip: stay away from synthetic weed lol. Not good stuff. Even the less intense stuff just kinda makes you feel like ****e.

Almost as bad as trading Chandler Jones for a bag of marbles because he smoked a little weed! He went on to lead the NFL in sacks the following 2 years.
"Because he smoked a little weed" is the most disingenuous account of what happened.

He smoked some synthetic stuff, and ended up buck naked on the front lawn of the Foxboro police department, screaming at the top of his lungs to be arrested.

That's what actually happened.

For anyone defending Wolf to stay because of Maye - Bobby Grier was also an integral part in the drafting of Tom Brady due to Grier’s relationship with Carr, yet was fired by Belichick right after.

Wolf has got to go.

That’s not a felony and it’s a victimless crime. To ship him out of town for pennies on the dollar was asinine, and he’s lucky Tom Brady was still around to cover for his horrendous ineptitude as a GM

I do quite adore your sensationalized viewpoint on the topic, BB will always have his apologists.

“Eliot was charged with providing player recommendations and influencing his final decisions on free agency and the draft.”

*IF* Wolf had *any* input with the 2022 draft he should be arrested for arson instead of being fired (no pun intended) for the conflagration that is our current roster.

Not only did we trade back in the 1st round exchanging a first team All Pro cornerback (McDuffie) for a “JAG” left guard - a *Strange* (pun intended) move to say the least. We then outdid ourselves by also trading UP (let that sink in for just a moment) during the 2nd round so we could “outsmart” other teams who were ready to “pounce” on our next Stanley Morgan, the estimable Ty Thornton. This krafty (sp?) move left George Pickens for the Steelers two picks later. I’m pretty sure the Steelers were going to be all over T.T. with this selection but had to “settle” for Pickens.

It gets even better when you realize that both these trades were made with the Chiefs (yes, the same team that picked up our former “One Catch Wonder” on waivers and currently have him stashed on their taxi squad on a pancakes and ribeye steaks diet So yes, If Wolf was indeed an influence in that 2022 draft along with being the “mastermind “ behind the more recent unforgivable draft day transaction, (the much discussed 2nd round trade back that blessed us with Mssrs Polk and Baker rather than drafting a potential future All-Pro receiver, Ladd McConkey), I would have to agree with a favorite quote, “Take me home momma and put me to bed. I have seen enough to know I have seen too much.” With so much at stake, with “cash to burn” along with another high draft pick, I’d strongly prefer another “de facto” GM being the “decider”….

Bill Belichick was responsible for every draft pick prior to this draft. The narrative that Wolf was behind the picks is pure and utter ********.

"We'll have a good OL"
Chunks was a RT that got benched the year b4 in Pitt because of attitude...Wolfie said he could handle LT....
WALLACE was a RT in College..."He can handle LT"
"LOWE is solid, we're very happy with our OL..."

DUDE IS A FKN ******, he doesn't know Jack ****!

The same can be said for every Patriot fan ripping him 8 months into the job. No one can turn a team around in that time.

For the record, every person who buys into this moronic narrative would have gotten rid of both Belichick and Brady in their first year. Total busts. Didn’t know what they were doing. Couldn’t even get on the field. What the hell was Kraft thinking hiring that duplicitous pond scum. Nothing more than a clipboard holder. No arm. Just a game manager.

The narrative that Wolf (and others) had no significant influence in regard to who was chosen with every one of those draft picks is pure and utter ********.

Sure, there were lots of folks who gave their opinions to Belichick. Other than his dog, there was only one decision maker.

Sure. But lots and lots of GMs can hit on more than 1 out of 8 draft picks. And can sign FA players better than Takitaki, Okorafor, Hawkins, Osbourn, Watts, etc.

Wolf told us that Okorafor would play LT. Wolf told us that Wallace would play LT. Words from his mouth. Completely and totally wrong.

Wolf's s performance in his 1st year was abysmal, some say atrocious. Those are facts. I wish Wolf was a great GM and we had a fabulous draft and strong FA to support Maye. Of course that is not true based on Wolf's 1st year performance.

What facts do you have that Wolf did a good job in Y1?

Wolf might be bad, but imagine if he had pulled off what happened in 1985. The Patriots sent their number one pick, number 16, to the San Francisco who selected Jerry Rice, the greatest receiver in NFL history. The Pats received the Niners first round (28th), second round (56th), and third round (84th) picks who became Trevor Matich, Garin Veris, and Audray McMillian. Matich never started for the Pats, McMillian never played for them and Veris was a part time starter in his six years in New England.

The narrative that Wolf (and others) had no significant influence in regard to who was chosen with every one of those draft picks is pure and utter ********.

Bill Belichick had final say on every pick, just as Eliot Wolf has final say on every pick now. And not one of the people bashing Wolf has claimed that Matt Groh was responsible for the 2024 draft. When you are in charge you take full responsibility for your decisions. The Belichick sycophants give Belichick full credit for every good pick, and Wokf full blame for any of his bad picks. It’s ********.

I have no doubt that when things go wrong at your jobs you guys blame your assistants.

Sure, there were lots of folks who gave their opinions to Belichick. Other than his dog, there was only one decision maker.

And here’s the thing, if Eliot Wolf had signed Calvin Ridley I would be blaming Eliot Wolf. If the draft picks from this draft don’t pan out I will blame Eliot Wolf. And if Eliot Wolf doesn’t fully address the OL this offseason I will blame Eliot Wolf. And if he signs Tee Higgins to #1money I will blame Eliot Wolf. Others may have counseled or will counsel him on these decisions, but they are ultimately his decisions, good or bad, and I’m not going to blame his subordinates for them.

What Wolf isn’t responsible for is Kraft’s coaching decision, and the state of the team he inherited. What he is responsible for is turning the ship around, and building a contender. And if Kraft gives him the authority to fire Mayo, and hire a new coaching staff, then he will own those decisions as well.

The narrative that Wolf (and others) had no significant influence in regard to who was chosen with every one of those draft picks is pure and utter ********.
The alternative is that Wolf was so bad in his role that BB ignored his input. Either way the team needed to start over on the personnel side of the house.
